Definitely something to this, but I do think he’d be more open to them if he had a bigger budget 

I believe he wants to prove he can do it without big budget.

So over 200 Million is now considered small budget?

I'm talking about Judge, Sanchez, Torres, Voit, Andujar who are playing for minimum. Obviously they have contracts that are large because unlike most teams they put back into the team.
