Well I hope it's not RITFW, because of the 93 NY songs PJ could play, they play the worst possible choice.HughFreakingDillon said:
the studio version is on their first record, Picture of Health. As the story goes, no one had a copy of the song, so Hugh Dillon (lead singer) hummed the chords to Trent (guitarist) and they recorded without him ever hearing the tune first. Then some time afterwards, they went to some diner and Hugh put it on the jukebox and Trent nearly shit himself.mrussel1 said:

they have been playing it for 30 years, and fans still go wild every time they play it (which is damn near every show-it's the Headstones RITFW).
Cool story though, I'll have to check them out. Obviously you are quite the fan.0

I just mean it's the one cover they play every show. the only difference is they kind of have to as the fans expect it. they haven't grown tired of it like some PJ fans with RITFW. And they also fill it with tags and covers and stuff to keep it fresh. And it's not always the encore.mrussel1 said:

Some cool ideas here, folks!dankind said:This is tough. I could easily create my basic rock and roll supergroup, but it's tough as hell to create a rootsier strumming and singing supergroup à la the Traveling Wilburys. I don't like many of the contemporary male artists that fit into this category (e.g., Bon Iver, Josh Ritter, Brendan Benson, etc.). Too goddamn whiny for my taste!
I can say that Neko Case, Neil Young and Emmylou Harris would be in the band. Maybe that's it. Just a trio. (Emmylou has experience with trios and Neil, and I think she has a gig at the Gorge with Neko this summer!) Anyway, I would love to hear them harmonize.
 Band name: Eminence.Emmylou- great idea!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Mine is a bit of a strange combination, but it would be great to hear what this line-up could produce.

And sings. They had thought of adding a 4th to do keyboards but always kept the 3 man format, thank god. I love Rush. Not my creation though so I'll step away.brianlux said:Meltdown99 said:Drums...Neil Pearl (retired, greatest living drummer)

One of the strangest voices in rock. I love some of there stuff like that cool tree song but generally just a casual fan. Yeah, I agree, best kept a trio.njnancy said:
