    the studio version is on their first record, Picture of Health. As the story goes, no one had a copy of the song, so Hugh Dillon (lead singer) hummed the chords to Trent (guitarist) and they recorded without him ever hearing the tune first. Then some time afterwards, they went to some diner and Hugh put it on the jukebox and Trent nearly shit himself. 

    they have been playing it for 30 years, and fans still go wild every time they play it (which is damn near every show-it's the Headstones RITFW). 
    Well I hope it's not RITFW, because of the 93 NY songs PJ could play, they play the worst possible choice.  

    Cool story though, I'll have to check them out. Obviously you are quite the fan.

    I just mean it's the one cover they play every show. the only difference is they kind of have to as the fans expect it. they haven't grown tired of it like some PJ fans with RITFW. And they also fill it with tags and covers and stuff to keep it fresh. And it's not always the encore.

    Did you mean Geddy Lee?  If so, I didn't know he played keyboards as well as bass.

    One of the strangest voices in rock.  I love some of there stuff like that cool tree song but generally just a casual fan.  Yeah, I agree, best kept a trio.
