Sales Taxes?

Is any one else being charged sales tax in North Carolina through 10c shop?  Not being charged sales tax from any companies outside NC other than 10c.

Laws are changing with some states requiring sales tax even if you don't have a presence in said state.

Nah, it's probably all because PJ cancelled that concert in Raleigh. (which I totally support)
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Supreme Court case, South Dakota vs. Wayfair.
All states are in the process of changing the rules.  Some companies are charging pretty much everywhere in anticipation of being held liable at some point.  (You can attempt to back-charge for this, from State to Company.)

They'll tax third party sellers but Amazon continues to pay $0 in federal taxes.... anyways rant over.  Things are changing, 10c staying ahead of the curve.  Much respect to them.

These are State taxes.  Everyone pays them - no exemption on State Sales Tax (if the state collects) unless you have a reseller's certificate, I believe.  In that case the person buying from that entity has to pay and that entity sends to state vs. Amazon.
Ends up going to the individual states, Amazon (or other parties) don't make any money on them, or at least they are not intended to.

Which states don't get charged sales tax from 10c or retailers?

Not how it really works...the states can collect taxes from retailers - on not, depending on their policies.
This is why sellers need to charge the buyer's taxes....because the state will expect to be paid on transactions in their states
Not sure which states haven't made it official but many of them are clarifying now re:online sales - although some states are requesting records from companies delivering goods and/or services in their states after the fact and threatening with penalties, etc, to intimidate businesses into paying.
    It is kind of crazy.
