Hakim Hart Tweeted that he's reopened his recruiting :

He signed a loi so he isn’t going anywhere before a new coach us named and talks with him.

And Phil is acting like a self entitled prick at this point, at over a million dollars a year better than barely over .500 over a decade is not an unrealistic expectation.  The program was good before him and will hopefully be better after him. Despite the clueless media his firing was absolutely the right move. I’m excited for the future on hawk hill

True, but if he doesn't want to stay i would think SJ will release him.

I'm sure the Vultures are hovering around him already since he Tweeted he reopened his recruitment.

I heard Jameer Nelson is in the running for the head coach? It would be cool but has he had any coaching exeperience?

Jameer has no coaching experience. He is also close to martelli so not sure he would take it. Information I’m hearing is looking at a few mid major coaches and top assistants at big schools. Lots of interest in the job

Thought they’d lose not didn’t see such a beatdown.

Tourney has mostly sucked. Lots of blowouts. Think sweet 16 games should be really good

Winning the Big East again and a first round game was a good enough season for this squad. They just didn't have the horses. I love Phil Booth but anytime he is the best player, you're not going to go very far. Imagine how good this team could've been with Divincenzo and Spellman still around? Oh well. Hell of a coaching job by Jay.

Monster class coming in next year.

Billy Lange the new Hawks coach. Seems jameer turned down offer to be associate head coach.  Probably not my first choice but I think the upside of the hire is good

Back to back losses against Big East teams? Come on Nova, you're better than that!
isn't that 3 out of 4? since Juggler was pumping them up :)
No.....it's only 2 out of 3 national championships.

Little sour since the juggler curse has taken hold? I swear as soon as you pump any team up they go into a spin.  I wouldn’t worry big guy jay will right the ship again. Just let it ride out
Huh? They’re 20-7 and better than I thought they’d be after losing their four best players.

But by all means, please continue to talk shit about a few losses in February. It’s so cute!
how is saying a fact (loss 3 out of 4) talking shit? fuck i even said not to worry as Jay will turn it around. some people...
When you win national championships every other year, a few losses in an anticipated down season aren’t quite that big a deal.

Martelli finally gonna stop living off 2004 now? Are they gonna move on?

rollie massimino lived off whatever year, got a fat check from UNLV and didn’t do shit.

speaking of UNLV, they just hired their umpteenth coach since Tark.
If I had known then what I know now...

Rollie was let go 7 years after winning the title. Martelli somehow stayed around for 15 years after getting to the Elite 8

Nate Pierre-Louis from Roselle Catholic(NJ) who was going to UNLV, is now going to Temple.

    Jameer Nelson on his son:

Pierre-Louis - isn't his brother already at Temple?

Jameer Jr. - A10 was probably a step up for Jameer Jr. but gave him the chance because of who he is.  he is probably better off at a lower level.

More important for Lange to keep as many of the current players around and to convince Hakim Hart to stay with SJU.

Yes, he is the brother of the Nate Pierre-Lewis. I've seen him play a few times and i think he'll do well at Temple.

I've only seen Jameer JR. play one time, but the people i talk to who are in the know, said A-10 was the highest level for him at best. Though, he's gonna Prep a year so maybe he'll improve? We shall see.

I wonder if he'll be able convince keep Hakim Hart to stay at SJU. (reading between the Tweeted lines by Hart, it may be difficult. We shall see).

Just read that St. Joe PG Jared Bynum(Frosh) has entered the Transfer Portal. Though, he hasn't ruled out staying at SJU.

Yup saw that. Hope he stays. Really like his game, he’s small so not sure he can transfer up, hopefully Lange can convince him to stay.  Could be a big roster turnover for hawks

Quinerly transferring from Nova.  Weird that Jay took him last year after the Adidas scandal.  Interesting to see what he does now.

Nova alum friend told me he heard Rutgers?

It was worth a shot with all the talent they lost last year. Just didn’t work out. He’s not Villanova material...or Penske, for that matter.

It was for sure worth the shot. Kid was  a  really good player at Hudson Catholic.

I thought Jay Wright should've just thrown him out there and let him take his lumps, but i guess he wanted to lean on Booth more as a PG, and i get it because he earned it.

Only have Gillsepie as a PG. I know Justin Moore listed as a shooting guard, but can he play PG?  Only saw him play once so i don't know.(He did play mostly off the ball). A friend of mine saw him play a lot so i'll ask him if he thinks he can be a full time PG. I saw Bryan Antoine play quite a few times and he's a 2 all the way, though he has a nice handle.

I know what Penske material means, but i have no clue what Villanova material means>HAHAHA
