I've asked this before.
In the mid 80's there was a gum that came in a sleeve. It was spiky on the outside with sugar crystals on the inside.
I thought they were Zappers but that doesn't look right.
Any ideas? Google doesn't produce anything...0 -

You're totally talking about Zappers. I'm not sure if you'll find them on the Google machine, but I would never forget those textured, chewy sugar bombs. That would be like forgetting about crunchy Reese's peanut butter cups.tempo_n_groove said:

@dankind I looked at Zappers and the packaging/product looks off.0 -
That's probably because people weren't using their mobile phones to take pictures of everything and post it on the internet to inflate their sense of self-worth in the 1980s.tempo_n_groove said:dankind said:

This came up for Zappers you cock holster...0 -
There were no blue Zappers, and the other colors, shape, and texture is wrong. Zappers were brighter, rounder and bumpier. Those are some newfangled or just plain fake-ass Zappers. Zappers came in a sleeve similar to Sixlets, but a Zapper gumball was about three times the size of a Sixlet candy.
