Out of the tube comes a spotty 15 year old in a tracksuit, asks me if I'm Robin, I said yes and asked him to show me the ticket, which looked pretty legit. He had a copy of the email from Seetickets to prove it was a real one and asked for the money.

I produced an envolope that supposedly contained £400 (the buy it now price). In it was £100 less than that, and then another £50 less used for train ticket, beers, sandwich and money for a drink or two once inside. :D I didn't think he'd be stupid enough to start counting a wad of cash in the middle of Oxford St in broad daylight. But he did

We swapped envelopes, and just for a laugh I waited to see his face when he was to realise there was just over half of what he asked, and I had the ticket now safely in my pocket :D He started swearing at me and saying how his brother's up the road and how he's gonna report me to eBay, to all of which I replied, 'Do I give a shit?'

I just walked off. He didn't follow me 'cos he had to wait for whoever was buying the other one.

So by this point I'm walking up Oxford Street towards Centre Point, keeping my eyes peeled for fellow PJers...
    EXCELLENT!
    but £250 is still a rip-off.

this time last year I was finally in the queue after leaving work early (thanks so much to Andy who not only sold me his spare but held the spot in the queue for us for most of the afternoon! forever in debt).. in a slightly nervous state of unrealisation and apprehension..

You're not out of touch.. don't know who first invented the word here.. Dave.. was it you?

What we do is reminisce.. on our own but together!!! At 9pm tonight, we will be logged on the pit, in this thread and together we will put our astoria boot on and listen to it and relive the experience.. giving our little comments or thought on the thread.. (ie.. omg.. 'who's this girl they're carrying out.. look.. she's waving at Ed!' or just **swoon**). All that, drinking a bottle of wine.... :D

A bit like what's happening on the thread now.. I'm at the pub but will be leaving for the queue... Still looking for a ticket...

Typed out like that, it sounds really sad, but it was done already and loads of fun.. I wasn't able to join but someone swooned for me at the right time.... but I read the posts the next day!

Come on... do it.. you know you want to....

BTW.. I'm still at the pub chatting with a couple of guys.. I has a 'new' song from Guns 'n' Roses and he's letting me listen to it, saying he's looking forward to Chinese Democracy coming out!!! HAHAHA.. dream on....

Not yet, unfortunately I'm a dumb blonde who isn't great with a p.c. I'm working on it though, will figure out how to get on it one day!

Oh good - I thought it was some hip n' happenin' phrase that had overlooked me!

Sounds cool though, but by the time my boot has downloaded, PJ will be on the bus back to the hotel - 12% and it's been at it for over an hour...

Have you got MSN with sharing folders? That would get to you quicker...

Or the link on this page http://www.pearljamstories.com/?page_id=11 is quicker.. it's a rar file of a flac if you can deal with those.
