    Because they tried.

What we learned that launching a tour without ticketmaster is insanely hard.   you have to find your own venues (which was probably hard back then and impossible now).  you have to run the venues yourself including ticketing, merch, services etc....

The tried it.  It damn near killed Eddie, but they tried it.   They tried to give it to Ticketmaster and ultimate failed, but I love the fact they tried, and that the '95 tour is all about that effort.
Zod, I absolutely love your post.  These guys did try and that is why we respect them  so much.  Never got to see them live in 95 but would also love the next vault to be from this time frame.  So powerful and raw.
Ditto ditto ditto you both. I seem to also remember this year that REM toured the Monster tour, and not only did they go ahead and use ticketmaster, the tickets were $100 each!  At the time I think it was 2nd most expensive only to the frickin Eagles, and I was SO DISAPPOINTED in REM for not supporting PJ in their efforts.

I totally give it to the PJ guys, their management and crew.  I'm sure it was beyond stressful, and I'm also sure not everyone internally to the band's inner circle agreed with the strategy, so I can't even imagine the pressure on those who tried to do what they thought was best and make this tour happen without ticketmaster.

And Stone and Jeff testifying...  they really gave it their all.  Total respect for that.

In all fairness. Ed didn't use tambourines until the 2000s.

The show was definitely a monkey wrench broadcast. Corduroy was right around the 7:40 mark.  Wow.

He was using them during Baba in 1998.  Just not two dozen a show.

All the November shows were broadcast on MW.  Somehow the 11.1.95 show the direct digital board line cut leaked out.

in the early 2000s, some very intrepid fan compiled an entire set for all the pre-show, show, post-show material, including multi source aud and MWFM matrix mixes for 11.1 through 11.7

All 5 shows are ferocious beasts.  Even San Jose when Stone botches the opening of Alive.

If I could go back in time and spend a week on the road those five shows would be the winner.

Hard to argue with that.  I might want to get greedy and at least sneak in 9.13 and 9.14 as well.  I mean if the delorean is ready...

On another 95’ trip lately. The energy was off the charts. Like thinking about all the creativity building up to them working on No Code when I listen to these shows.

Brisbane, Australia, March 22 1995, my first PJ show. So many memories, the seats on the floor getting thrown into a pile at the back of the venue. I Got You cover, Dave Grohl on Sonic Reducer and Against the 70's live debut. Would pay good money for a soundboard copy of this show.

I’m glad there are some quality bootlegs from this tour - the Salt Lake City shows were the last ones I listened to.
