Just saw them in Minneapolis for the 2nd or 3rd time, can't remember! Wasn't that excited about the new album but it's growing on me and they were awesome live, even without Josiah. I do miss him on a few of their older songs.samjam said:Saw them for the first time this summer at a festival and was super impressed. Would love to see a full show! They just came to NYC, but couldn't make either show. Next time!
Pretty flashy stage set up and lighting this time around. Walked out to One of These Nights opening riffs. Was pretty cool the way they timed the lights to it.
The drummer was killing it up there the whole show. A lot of energy and hitting hard. They definitely put on an entertaining show. It's a hopeless situation...0

Good question. The show is listed as 93.9 The River Icebreaker Feat. The Head And The Heart and Band Of Horses with the Strumbellas. The poster for the show has a picture of BOH and THATH side by side with the third band is small print. I'm from CT and trying to see a concert in every state so just got cheap airfare to Detroit (only 115 bucks RT). I only heard about show as I'm on both bands email list. They both played same sized venues on their recent tour but if I had to guess BOH will go on last as they've been around longer and have more material? I actually enjoy them equally and won't be dissapointed if either headlines as long as one plays at least 60 and the other 90 minutes.Post edited by dlymnfld onSpringfield 4/6/94, Boston 4/6/94, Hartford 10/2/96, New York 9/11/98, Hartford 9/13/98, Mansfield 8/30/00, Boston 9/28/04, Reading 10/1/04, Quebec City 9/20/05, Boston 5/24/06, Hartford 5/13/06, New York 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08 Philadelphia 10/31/09, Hartford 10/15/10,

Nice! I was very tempted to fly out myself once I saw the bill, since my bf lives in MI. The Fillmore is a great venue, too! That's gonna be a terrific night. I hope you enjoy Detroit, as well! Very cool city with a lot more than you think to do (incredible food/bar scene in particular)dlymnfld said:Good question. The show is listed as 93.9 The River Icebreaker Feat. Gonna try to get tickets to see them at the Ugly Sweater Christmas show in Phoenix. Kings of Leon and Band of Horses are also on the bill. Saw HatH at a small venue in Phoenix before the 2nd album came out and thought they were great live. Saw KoL once before but never BoH. Looking forward to it."Not only do you have sunshine but you have better thunder...fuckers." -Ed, Phx 10/21/00

Saw them last night in Minneapolis with Grouplove. They were awesome as usual. Played almost the entire 1st album, but left out a lot of my favorites from their latest. They even previewed a few unreleased tracks that they are finalizing for their next album. Sounds like we could get a new release again by fall. It's starting to become easier seeing them play without Josiah. It was definitely more noticeable last time.

So is Josiah officially out of the band? I know they said he was taking a break to get clean, but not sure if he has been involved in recording of the new album. They still sound great, but definitely a change.0

Before going to the show last night I wasn't sure if he would be there or not because I hadn't been following his status with the band. It definitely sounds like he will not be a part of the next record at all. I did some searching and the only thing I could find was an interview the band did last summer where they vaguely referenced where things are at with him. He seems to be more of a random guest appearance now. It just seems so weird because he has been doing some music, but maybe the big touring schedule isn't something he can handle yet.Indifference71 said:tbergs said:Saw them last night in Minneapolis with Grouplove. The most specific article I could find from last year.
