It is pretty cool.  It will be hot though in September. It does have an indoor portion as well.  There are 2 different Venues inside   One of them is probably 1500 people.   The other is smaller - never been to the smaller one.   Outdoors is much bigger with a lawn, reserved balcony seating, and some VIP tables and cabanas. It’s probably 3500 or so.

The venue is in a neighborhood 5-10 minutes outside of downtown and they’ve had problems with neighbors.  Last year the neighbors got an injunction shutting it down for some period of time (I believe).  Regardless, this is why I’m assuming the show starts at 530.  There will be a curfew.

The pictures I saw looked pretty cool!
The venue sounds very similar to where The National is playing here in Columbus.
They have an indoor & outdoor venue (that share the same stage)
and then 2 more "club" like venues (The Basement and A&R Music Bar) in the same area.
This one is right downtown in the Arena District though,
and has a typical 11pm curfew for outdoor weeknight shows.

Scored tickets to DC at the Anthem which I've wanted to check out for awhile now.  The Cherry club is well worth it if anyone is debating on joining.  The tickets as well as the gift make that so worth it.  The vinyl was awesome this year, let's hope they continue that!

Yeah I just joined last week after the tour announcement.  And was still able to use the pre-sale to score tickets for the Chicago show!

Has anyone received a code or instructions on how to use the free copy of the new album from the tickets towards purchase of the vinyl??

they said we would get this info in an email around a week after tickets went on sale,
so we should be hearing something very soon!!

I was also wondering about this. I bought 2 pairs of tickets for 2 shows so would give me 4 codes or 2 codes? Can you combine codes for a larger discount? I've never gotten this album offer with tickets before.

Here's what the website says about the codes / upgrades:

Each ticket for the newly announced North American headlining dates (including the April North American performances announced last week) comes with a redemption code for a digital copy of the ‘I Am Easy To Find’ album.
You also have the choice to use your redemption code to upgrade (at an additional cost) to a physical album (LP or CD) instead.
Festival performances (including the Ogden Twilight Series) and performances outside North America do not include a digital or physical album redemption.
Some North American headlining shows may not offer CD upgrades.

I've had offers like this for Neil Young, Jack White & David Byrne...
but I think (JW may have had an album upgrade...but don't remember) that the only option was a copy of the album on CD and there wasn't the upgrade opportunity.
I did get a CD for EACH ticket I purchased...not just one for each order,
so I'm thinking you should get 4 codes for your purchase,
unless one of these shows was a festival as mentioned above!

    Sure thing...
for the Neil Young & David Byrne album offers,
I'm pretty sure the ONLY option was one CD per ticket ordered.
I don't think there was a download code...just the CD shipped to you!!

Sigh. I wish The National would do an indoor show in Vancouver again. I just can't bear to do an outdoor show for them again. Not in the summer heat. I'm so done with that. At least the last time I did see them outdoors it was raining and not hot, lol. Better to be soaked with rain that soaked with sweat. But I couldn't go to their last show here either because they played the venue I've boycotted for poor sound. :frowning:

For those wondering, the ticket music download code CANNOT be used in the Cherry Tree Store.  It can be used to purchase the black vinyl only from MusicRedemptions.com.  If you are like me and want the Cherry Tree Exclusive color vinyl, you are just going to need to pay in full for this one.  It's all good though.

For those attending “A Special Evening with The National” in Paris, London, New York, Toronto and LA, these evenings will include a screening of “I Am Easy To Find,” a Q&A with the band, Mike Mills and more. An intimate performance will follow with special guests Gail Ann Dorsey, Kate Stables of This Is The Kit, Mina Tindle, Yuki Numata Resnick, James McAlister, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus joining us on stage at select performances.
