I would say if you got the power to break up 3 of the largest corporations, then just maybe, the government has to much power.

I disagree - a government is supposed to work for the people, and that is exactly what a government would be doing if it managed to disrupt what is clearly growing into a corporatocracy. If someone doesn't take steps to try and stop that now, it will soon be too late... It might already be too late.

My other question is what about

    Apple?
Berkshire Hathaway?  They make a move and the whole stockmarket can change.
    Johnson & Johnson?

I'm sure there are oil companies I could add?

She is nuts.  Please tell me what those companies are doing that is so wrong, besides making money.  And those 3 companies could pack up and leave the US in heartbeat...and setup operations elsewhere.  It's likely a moot point, she is not becoming POTUS.  She should 1st aspire to get elected as Cheif of her 1st nations reserve and help her people.../s

Yes, there are many corporations/monopolies that should be broken up.

That is why I wondered why you thought this subject deserved its own thread TBH. This seems more fit for a more general Warren thread, which does exist (several do actually) We can have new threads for every little thing anyone running says from now until the primaries.
But she's not nuts at all. She's just not an American capitalist.

She's actually extremely intelligent and knowledgeable and grounded.  She is what's considered wonky when it comes to policy.  Having a different opinion doesn't make one person sane and the other nuts; it's just a differing opinion.

I absolutely love her. She is inspiring and super-smart and rational and mature, and far enough left for me to basically support everything she does. If I were American I would absolutely be hoping for her to win this thing, rather than Bernie. I also like Kamala Harris, but not as much as Warren. I still like Bernie too... it's the hype/anti-hype around Bernie that I don't like right now. It's annoying AF.

I never got on the Bernie train. Liked him before the last election but not so much now.

Warren was robbed the position as head of the CFPB. She basically did all of the work to create that department. So she became a Senator.

America doesn't like wonks, which is a shame.

I’m starting to warm up to Warren more. I like that she’s a wonk.

I think Warren would do well with white blue collar women or baby boomer aged white women who might have voted Trump in 2016.

I think she will be gone by something as simple as:

    1. Trumps Pocahontas thing will taint her too much,
    2. Her voice will be considered non pleasing and whiny

Name one western democracy with this "big government" you are so afraid of that works worse than the US?

Ok, what's the balance then, since you think her statement means too much government control? I don't think the continued monopolitization of a few large companies is going to do any good unless you're the wealthy elite.

Also, isn't it a bit hypocritical of a Trump supporter to call someone else an idiot and out of touch? How is Trump helping bridge the gap or do anything besides secure his own wealth? He's nothing but a con artist and a crook, but God (you know, the one from an official Trump signed bible) forbid you or any of the other minions care about that shit.
    It's a hopeless situation...
