So if you let your membership lapse, your seniority decreases, therefore reserved seating is your only option? Did somebody lose seniority here, because they didn't renew? Is this the point?
Before the Missoula show in 2012...
there wasn't GA for US shows except for festivals.
They had all reserved seating on the floor.
Most of this floor seating (except rows 1 & 2 and I believe rows 8 & 9) was assigned by your seniority in the 10 Club.
The lower your 10 Club number...the closer you were to the stage.
Adding GA to the front part of the floor took away this reserved area in front of the stage,
and moved the seniority based reserved seating up into the lower bowl sections of arenas.
If you forgot to renew your membership...you had to rejoin the club and were given a much higher number.
Perfect explanation, thank you. I was unaware that GA was a relatively new thing.

Someone tell me about the St.Louis 98....one on ebay right night, but mounted, with blue tack etc. Just hit over $2k AUD, from starting price of $200AUD in 24 hrs. Is this a harder 98 to get?

I have some really big wants.

    Orlando 12 AP (Soto)
    Cleveland 10 AP
    Give Way cd

but a grail.....idk. Something else signed i guess.  My signed Backspacer LP is my current owned grail.

I got my white backspacer so now I'm down to:

    1) Give Way
    2) Ten Doormat

The Doormats seem possibly cheaper and more doable than a copy of give way :(

2003 Nashville Hatch Print.  Only one I’ve seen was in the old store on Broadway.  Obtained my original 98 Knoxville poster but this Riot Act poster still eludes me.  One day....

in the lobby of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum building on 5th Avenue in Nashville.

Love the simplicity of Hatch Prints...
Don't have any for PJ shows,
but I have 3 framed from the Band Of Horses Acoustic At The Ryman shows,
and a Bon Iver Hatch Show Print in my flat file!!

GA also created the line & list bullshit. With reserved seating, there is no need to line up all day then have a bunch of assholes with numbers on their hands come in and jump ahead of you at the last minute.
There is no need to line up either way. Just show up right before doors open and get the sweet spot 6 to 8 deep. The rail is for chumps!

Totally agree.  I've only done GA once, went in 20 minutes after doors and still got like 10 deep dead center.  Much better line of sight a little ways back. Never understood what was so great about tilting your head all the way back all night long.
