I never knew there was an “e” and an “m” in this thing

Did you know that there is an M and a B in the glove of the Milwaukee Brewers logo?!?

    lol

There's actually an element of truth to this (not that it will ever happen).

    That I knew.

Funny thing is I aways thought the Expos logo looked cool. Just had no idea what it was.

There was a really good (and sad) story on the guy who designed the brewers logo recently. Highly recommended read

They’d be more likeable if they went back to that logo & color scheme. And got rid of Ryan Braun.

Behind a pay wall, so not sure if you have the athletic, but here it is.  One of the many reasons the athletic is worth it.

While clearly disappointed the Yankees didn't do their thing. I F'ING LOVE THIS SIGNING.  Good for the Padres.  They have so many good players coming and just added Manny.  Look the f out!

McKenzie Gore, Tatis Jr, Urias and Margot to name a few!

I don't think this team goes anywhere in the first 5 years he is there but we will see.

    Arod and Yanks.

I dont remember any of the contracts for STL.

The first Arod contract was great. The 2nd was terrible.

Manny is 26, this is so much different than any contract except the first Arod one.

Good for them.  So fucking pissed the white sox weren't willing to give him what he wanted...they had a chance to sign an elite 26 year old and were too cheap to get it done. So disappointing but not surprising from Reinsdorf.

Same with Hal. I am with you, but I have been resigned to it for a while.  White Sox kept making people believe they really had a shot.

But yeah. Screw this will cripple them talk.  A team with the best farm in baseball just signed a top 15 player in the game who is young.  What's not to love about that?  A team going for it.

So out of every 10 year deal that was around only Arods produced a WS.

I do agree that they are different, yes.

I am not saying that. I am just saying you cannot compare this to anyone else's 10 year deal, except the first Arod one.   I dont know how other 10 year contracts worked out in terms of World Series but I don't really think that is fair either.

Just saw an amazing nugget.  When Machado's contract is up, he will be younger than Cano is right now.

Who is playing in their upper 30's that is still good besides Cano?

    Granderson, Kinsler, Pujols?

Good thing this contract won't pay him until he is in his upper 30's then.

    lol.

I was just comparing 10 year contracts and the fact that this is a fine contract because of his age and he won't be in his up 30s

Agreed.  I said I like the 10yr deal at his and Harpers age too.

The 10yr deal in their 30's is done forever now.

Still like to know whom is still playing well in their upper 30's.  Does Miggy Cabrera fit that mold only being 35 and falling apart?

No, I don't think so.  Only offensive players?  If not, CC, Verlander...am sure there are other pitchers.  BARTOLO!

I don't think there are many offensive players though.  Steroids went a long way.
