    No it was not.  His job is not to "go after Trump" it's to find the truth. And the Truth does not have to be about Trump himself; investigations by police and other enforcing agencies routinely uncover other crimes.  Are you seriously suggesting he should let other crimes go and be myopically focused on one guy?

    I don't actually think anything will come of this in regards to Trump and I think 2020 is the first chance to get him out (though he'll probably win) but I also don't think Mueller is nearly as political as you seem to think he is. He's not "saving face."  He doesn't need to do that.  He keeps finding new shit...there's a lot of stuff here.

    There’s so many people involved and it covers many years, that it’s to quickly get confused and overwhelmed by the implications and enormity if it’s true. What Mueller is getting at is a widespread network of crime and corruption that involves both corporate/organizarions (e.g. NRA), political leaders, and heads of governments. Trump is a big piece of this. It’ll likely come out, with not just Russia, but UAE, Saudis, and Israel were involved in the deal making and election involvement. 

    Today’s example is the Bezos-Pecker stuff. To the casual observer (and this includes many in the media who aren’t connecting things) it looks like just another stupid National Enquirer story, but it ties into all of this corruption surrounding trump.

    That's the truth. Like you, my father his very interested in this Mueller investigation. I complained to him a few weeks ago that it's taking way too long and suggested that Mueller is dragging it out so he can reveal his findings when it could hurt Trump in the 2020 election. He disagreed on the "dragging it out" claim, and noted that the Watergate investigation took even longer. I get where he's coming from with that comparison, but that was like 40 years ago. You'd think they'd be able to do things quicker these days.
    Whitewater lasted most of both Clinton terms. This is peanuts so far.
