I was in Torino yesterday.
On paper, having an entire album sounds nice, but when you are in the show, knowing which song is going to come after the other is quite boring imo. Not having the surprise of the next song made it not as good as usual.
After Elderly, Ed told that it was the first time of the band in Torino and for this reason, the setlist was going to be special. I was dreaming of a new Marseille (best one for me until now).
My friend from Egypt, was the guy with the Egyptian flag and Tremor Christ written on it. After Black Ed saw it, ran to the other to show the flag and began a speech about flags before saying :"but the next song is for the flag over there." We were completely crazy with my french friends.
Finally, venue was not full, we were just in front of Ed "first row" (if you consider than being stuck on barrier, but few meters behind the real front row is still front row...) and we had something like 1 meter around us without anybody... Amazing but quite disapointing also.
Anyway, this show is nothing than an UFO... and I remain happy to have been there.Tour 2006 : Barcelona - Marseille - Paris - Torino - Wien0 -

Yes,
03/13/92 - Nachtwerk: Munich, Germany [90m]
attendance: 900
set: Once, Even Flow, Alive, Why Go, Black, Jeremy, Oceans, Porch, Garden, Deep, Release
enc: Leash, (Outshined)/State of Love and Trust, Munich Improv/Rockin' in the Free World, I've Got a Feeling
notes: This is the only concert where all songs on Ten are played straight through in order and PJ is in a very "up" mood. Ed even notes when the vinyl gets flipped and side two begins. This is the final European show of this tour and neither the crowd nor PJ can seem to get enough tonight.*****

Crazy! I wonder if this will become a trend with them playing an entire album start to finish at shows

I'm just happy to see they closed with Indifference.
I frickin love when they do that.
I hope that makes the DVD!0 -
Doesnt it seem like when the venue isn't full, they always play a special show? I remember back in 2000, this happened, and the show turned out to be one of the best of the tour.San Fran 92, San Fran 93, Berkeley 93, Indio 93, Fairfax 94, DC 95, San Fran 95, DC 95, Va Beach 98, Columbia 98, Dc 98, Va Beach 00, Columbia 00, Philly 03, Bristow 03, Chicago 06, Chicago 06, Dc 06, DC 080

2nd Pearl Jam show ever, after Paris last week (didnt get a chance to seen them before, it was a sort of redemption seeing then twice..lol)
Hoorays:
-The venue...Palaisozaki is one of the best i've ever been in, really, very classy, good sound and an impressive organisation.Nice atmosphere both inside the place and outside..
-Themselves: the band seemed very relaxed and enjoying being here -specially eddie and stone who went for a both funny and ridiculous arm dance during a song (i dont remember which one)..Super Nacho Eddie lol
-The setlist:Tremor Christ, Baba, Indifference, couldnt dream of hearing them live, there they were.Huge version of RVM-audience was so much into..shivers..
-The video crew: Thanks for the guy for providing me water bottles in exchange of a few cigs lol
-The audience:Thanks to Torino for bringing so many bella raggazza, the pleasure of the eyes was not only on stage fellows..and italian choir rocks
-And at last: Torino itself, went hiking in the center, very pretty city though we've never be able to find a respectable pizzeria...outrageous lol
Booos:
-The setlist(again):I dont know if it was because of the dvd recording, but i got really f**k up like my french fellow a few post earlier but it was quite annoying to know which song they would be playing after Severed Hand, and thereafter Marker and thereafter Parachutes and so on...Basiclly i agree with the idea of bein surprised by a setlist which turned not to be the case until the encores...On the other hand we got the chance to hear Come Back...a stormer on stage.
-The world cup final:Though it was a nice time in Italia it still doesnt give back the cup to France..lol
So to sum up, very good show though i'm very glad i've been able to be in Paris too for the diversity of the setlist but it turned out good since Paris show was rockin so hard in the front row so i had the Torino show to relax and enjoy seeing the Seattle boys in a peaceful atmosphere.
Conclusion, always go to two PJ shows in a row.0 -

It was my first PJ concert. I had been waiting for so long to see them and I finally saw them in my hometown. It was such an important, magic, mistic experience for me I cannot even describe.
I was in the front pit and I really had to fight to survive all the moshing and crowd surfing (I got kicked in the head, by the way) but it was worth every minute.
The guys seemed so into it and Eddie was so sweet trying to speak Italian and so proud to tell us he had reserved for us a special set list, which he hoped we liked.
And we liked it indeed. How could we not?
At one point I thought Ed was looking at me and I looked him like "who me?" and he nodded and smiled and so I smiled and waved back like a complete idiot. I was over the moon.
I was only upset for one stupid security guy, to whom I had asked to let two friends of mine come down from the upper sectors as I explained to him that I was alone. He answered to me he would have allowed them in exchange of two pizzas! "Pizzas? what pizzas?" I asked him when I understood he wasn't joking. I walked away so indignant and I thoght that, had Eddie known it, he would have taken the time to personally punch that idiot in the throat.
Anyway they promised not to make us wait for another six years and I really hope they won't.
Thank you guys, this was the most special concert I've seen in my life. See you soon in sunny Italy!I don't want to hear from those who know0 -
Did Cameron solo at this show?If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?0
