    election yr coming up?
either Ed or the band will be involved somehow so u can expect either/or another VFC type of tour with like maybe 8-10 shows or ed solo just doing a few songs like no war, times a changing, patriot, etc for political rallies. Other than that maybe a benefit show but as a band and a full out tour we wont see that till next spring/summer

and not until much later next year, after a full year off, and my guess is it will be just EV
you wont see a full PJ tour until 2009 me thinks

    Hey Alex!

Weren't the boys rumoured to play this past year at Pinkpop? If they do make it next year, I will sell blood/my eggs/my organs to get over there! :D Can I stay at yours? I'll bring homeade cookies for ya, lol. :D

Yes, there was also a Pinkpop rumour for 2007. Homemade cookies? HMMMM

But if they plans to be in studio beginning april, pinkpop is in the end of may... Time may be short....

Pinkpop does not a tour make. Just like Lollapalooza this year wasn't part of any North American tour.

I would love to see them do a tour of maybe 7 or 8 cities where they play 2 gigs in each - either one acoustic and one electric, or one 10club show and one arena show.

That would be AMAZING. However, as someone said, it would be Seattle, Chicago, Philly, NYC, LA, San Fran, and a couple other ones. I'd definitly make the trip to Philly though for it. It wouldn't really surprise me, so I have my fingers crossed.

I'm still feeling a mini-summer tour of the South and a couple random cities - Indy, Buffalo, Seattle, Philly, Boston, St. Louis, Alpine Valley. Maybe Penn State, Denver, or Minneapolis.

Yes, but they aren't going to come to Europe for one festival. Or they do none. Or they do a bunch. I hope the second, I think the first. :)

I hope they take the year off next year. I would rather them get a long rest from each other and then get back in the studio when they are full of fresh ideas.
Looks like 2008 is going to be a busy year for Ed

I really hoping for them to touring asia(thailand, malaysia etc). Then I have 2 good reasons to travelling back there.
And it would be cool to backpack with alot of jammers!

Nope, not a thing. I don't think they'll go back to Europe that quickly either.

...yeah, they still have to c*ck-tease the south for another year before returning to Europe.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

  • hopefully they have a good break, but dont wait too long to get back in the studio. Theyve still got lots of inspiration from the 06 tour and unless we wanna wait years for a new record like last time or they rush the album, going in the studio soon would be an excellent move!

having some time off touring will also give them a time to rehearse some new songs back into their setlists!

    Why not?
They haven´t play there since like 95.
And they could have some warm vacation and get "cheap massages" at the beach=)

I mean not for another couple of years at least...and then even..it's a long way to go unless they can get enough punters..(Japan they probably can, but I'm not interested in Japan)..probably why they haven't been since 95..

I'm hoping for a 2008 tour, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Next year should be a good year for live music, however. The Eagles, AC/DC are touring. I really want to catch John Mayer, so hopefully he tours. DMB is always reliable, as is the Allman Brothers Band. Maybe the Chili Peppers, but I doubt it.
