Sorry. Hopefully, we'll have some actual bad news disaster for you soon.....

Wait, are we still profit taking? I think you should revise that statement because your analysis is all over the board, depending on what happened that day. Also, don't forget that employment is a lagging indicator. The market is a leading one. You should know this.EdsonNascimento said:Uh, oh. Bad news for you guys - the economy is humming along. I'm glad the jobs report was good, but it doesn't change my perspective that we are likely already in a bear market. Financials and tech are absolutely in a bear and have been for a while. The ISM had its biggest % drop in orders since October 2008. This index is another key leading indicator on manufacturing. If you didn't know, this surveys orders of raw materials for production. So a large drop means lower manufacturing output (and jobs) over the next several months.

Yeah. Which December in the last few decades didn’t have an increase in jobs?Halifax2TheMax said:

The real question is, how many of those people have jobs in January?

Sooo... maybe Trump really will literally destroy America, lol.
Trump threatened to keep government shut down for ‘months or even years’ to get border wall funds, Democrats say

Lunacy is a sad thing to see. This is an attempt by the thug and his kool-aid crew to deter the investigations and media coverage of the thug paying the piper. It won't work.

If Mexico is paying for the wall through the updated NAFTA deal....why is he shutting the government down and demanding that tax payers pay for it?

Since $5 billion won't come remotely close to paying for a wall anyway, the whole point seems moot whatever way we look at it, lol. And all those things together... amount to what Kat just said about his motivation, basically. This is all just a crazy political game for him, and he is not capable of looking ahead several moves. He's focused only on the distraction of it.The Juggler said:If Mexico is paying for the wall through the updated NAFTA deal....why is he shutting the government down and demanding that tax payers pay for it?

It's not a game for him, unfortunately. It's his last gasp for his political life. He has broken so many promises to his base, this is the only one has left. If he breaks it, they melt away to 4Chan and the basement again. He is incredibly weak politically. He put himself in a box with his promises and cannot compromise his way out.PJ_Soul said:

It's getting more insane by the hour. What the holy fuck??? My mind is boggled. This man has NO limits to his own ridiculousness. He is essentially openly threatening to completely abuse the system just to get his own way. This is crazy. I mean, he says a lot of stupid shit, so I'm not really thinking this will actually happen at the end of the day, but still, Jesus.
Trump threatens shutdown of ‘months or even years’ over border wall, says he could declare national emergency to get it built

I don't think he's honestly an idiot. I think he's woefully ignorant (on social issues, history, or pretty much anything that doesn't involve him directly), but I think he's actually really good at manipulating his base. you don't get to where he is being a complete moron when dealing with people.PJ_Soul said:

He is also being manipulated by almost every other leader in the world. He is an easy mark (some might say an idiot, some within his own cabinet might even say "a fucking moron").0 -
Exactly. There are a TON of reasons why the term "idiot" fits for him.dignin said:
