Agreed. We all need to relax once in a while. The Juggler said:
Oh-my-god. Yeah, I get it. However, this is the real world, man. It's a good thing that Mitt spoke out so early. Be happy. Be patient.Halifax2TheMax said:
Rationally? What’s not rational is Team Trump Treason rambling incoherently for 90 minutes while those who remain in his cabinet look sheepishly on and remain silent. And the repub establishment and echo chamber go on tv and rationalize it away likes it’s just an awe shucks moment. The Juggler said:
Mitt's in the senate, so that's obviously what I meant and it would not be too late.Halifax2TheMax said:
The Dems have the votes in the house for impeachment so I’m not worried about that. The real proof will be whether 20 repubs in the senate will have a spine to convict and remove him from office. 11 of those 20 are up for re-election in 2020. If they don’t vote to convict, based on factual evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors via Team Mueller, and not chants of lock him up and get re-elected, what do we have then? The drum beat and the chorus needs to start now with Repubs pressuring their repub representatives to allow the Team Mueller investigation to go go forth and be released publically without hindrance. Waiting until impeachment hearings or the release of Team Mueller’s report is too late. And we need more prominent repubs to be speaking up and out forcefully, joining Mitt. Paging Tom I’m a Warrior Hear Me Roar Cotton? Did you see or read of what Team Trump Treason spouted yesterday? Do you not see what further erosion of civil rights and protections he’s proposing? And yet 88% of repubs support him. Yea, I’m impatient because his fascist and nationalist ways are being normalized. Hell, his cray cray is being normalized. The Juggler said:"Too little too late..." What a bunch of horse shit. So when it comes time to vote on impeachment, I'm guessing you don't want their votes either? Because, you know, that will be a bit later on. Get real, man. Republicans during Watergate didn't turn on Nixon until the very end.
All rational people would've preferred the repubs to have been up in arms from day one (like most are in private, apparently), but that's not reality, unfortunately. The real test will be when the Mueller shit finally hits the fan and there's no way to excuse what's in the report. Mitt's op-ed was a nice start to the new congress. Sets the right tone. Gotta be patient and let this play out...
I understand the sentiment but I don't think you're looking things as rationally as you should be.
2019 is Mueller time. "Enjoy the ride."0 -

when a Republican is on office, time to get your ass working. you don't want to be the one getting axed in this recession.0

I was thinking the other day of his 'we need to rake the forest floors' comment and just how utterly stupid it was. Then I started thinking of many other really stupid comments he has made that have been buried under a pile of stupid comments and stupid things he's done.
F**k he's stupid.
I'm sincerely asking if there is any doubt about this? I mean... even toss in his poor spelling when considering it. Taking it one step further, consider that he has demonstrated the emotional intelligence of a mosquito (hand shakes, lack of impulse control, lack of self awareness, insulting people he has no business insulting, etc.).
And he's running the United States of America.
The country has elected a complete and legitimate f**king moron to run it. Making it worse is the fact that he is void of decent human values. It's one thing he's a complete twit, but he's also a bona fide and career villain.
Oh man. And people wonder why people like Halifax or Jose have flipped their lids? The entire debacle has become obscene: government shut down as he pouts with his chin out and arms folded, stock market collapsing, irrational military decisions, country divided, the US embarrassed daily on the global scene...
Here's to 2019! May it bring the US something that resembles frumpy getting his fat ass unceremoniously kicked on to Pennsylvania Avenue.
"My brain's a good brain!"0 -
I never imagined he could stay that long!
Most of us would have never imagined that he could ever be elected.
So I'm fearing what else he is able to make out of his lies.
Something has to happen!

Drain the swamp? Think middle America is okay with this? Or they’re too uninformed to know? Or just sticking it to those useless government libs? Suckers.

My god, I hope so. I'm not sure I can take another one one of those from Trump... Then again, it could be another good opportunity for him to incriminate himself in the collusion investigation, lol.Kat said:

That whole fake press conference with the bald goons standing there was one of the more bizarre moments in Trump's presidency for sure. Not to mention the new, nonsensical Game of Thrones Trump Wall poster. Sometimes I almost feel in shock when I see shit like this. It seems more like some kind of book or brilliant satirical movie than it does real life. And I of course can't forget in my shock just how fucking dangerous it all is in real life, however ridiculous.

I'm not positive but I think it's just common practice for the Speaker to "invite" the President to deliver his State of the Union.Kat said:

Uh, oh. Bad news for you guys - the economy is humming along. Job growth, work force participation, avg. Salaries all up and beat expectations.
more people have jobs today than in the history of the US (figured I’d throw that in as it is fact but clearly based on population growth too).
Sorry. Hopefully, we'll have some actual bad news disaster for you soon.....
On the good side, you can continue to be distracted by words and loathing that amount to nothing.
i bet all those people that have higher paying jobs are worried about all the bs you are.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -

Even if the economic info was true, which it is not, it’s interesting to see who values money above all else.EdsonNascimento said:Uh, oh. Bad news for you guys - the economy is humming along. Job growth, work force participation, avg. Salaries all up and beat expectations.
