Nice! How's the brew? I like: the Cubs, mosaic, IBU's and hops. Not as big on dry or double IPA.

Would still give it a whirl.

It was a good brew...not great. I just thought the story on the can was cool for any Cubs fans. I wouldn’t buy the beer again though.

Haha...actually a dice game called Farkle. I had never played it but it’s pretty fun. I’d recommend it for a game night.

Is there regulation on the term "Imperial"?
What exactly does it mean ?

There is no "regulation" on using "imperial" as a desctiptor.
It goes back to the 18th century when beer was brewed in England than shipped to the imperial court of the tsars in Russia.
The brewers would double or sometimes triple the hops and malts which would result in the ABV going up to 8-12%.

Also no real difference between and "imperial" IPA and a "double" IPA.

Aside from "Imperial IPA" does sound much more fancy than "double IPA"

A generous friend gave this to me yesterday. I’ve never had it and wasn’t familiar but I guess it’s an excellent barleywine. Anyone ever have it?

I haven't had Mother of all Storms but Pelican makes some solid beers.

So my local is going bigger now...

You'll all be hearing about it or able to get their brews soon enough...

    Company is Barrier Brewing.

I used to go in their OG brewing spot when two people ran it and usually only 1 was there to sell you a growler, lol.  My how they have grown!

I really enjoyed this. I've had a couple other beers from hoppin frog (boris 300, vanilla IPA) this was by far my favorite.

He has some pretty cool prints. Sweetwater Brewery does a "420 Fest", he does the art for it, I think.

I totally forgot it was Hopslam season until I saw it at the store the other day.  That stuff used to be impossible to find but there seems to be plenty out there this year.  How was this year's batch?

NA IPA... it actually tastes pretty good. And before anyone makes fun, a buddy of mine has cancer and cannot consume alcohol. He found this brewery doing NA craft beer, which no one is doing and thought he’d give it a try. I was honestly surprised. It’s a little fizzier and not as bitter (which I’m fine with) but otherwise tastes like IPA.

That’s crazy. I’ve never seen a NA IPA...pretty cool. Best wishes for your friend to kick cancer’s ass.

Thanks, he's doing pretty well so far.  Great spirit, which I don't care what anyone says, attitude is 90% of overcoming any type of major health issue.
This brewery is currently doing a collab with Sierra Nevada with all proceeds going to CA wildfire relief.  They're out of Connecticut and the collab beer (Resilience IPA) can be found at their taproom.

It used to sit on shelves pre 2010.
