Boxsets

I would like to buy the 2018 boots of the shows we went to but ,i want to buy the whole set, why do they release The cd boots only and not the whole boxset as well ?,this has happened since 2008 any answers?

You're not the only one waiting. Hopefully we'll see a boxset for 2018 sooner rather than later.

I think they've done it several times since 2008. They usually release just the boots, then a while later announce the box set. Forcing people who just bought 2 or 3 boots to buy repeats if they want the box set. That's my theory as to why anyway.

That theory doesn't make any sense. I bought all the 2008 and 2009 ones individually (from Kufala), and then I bought the (empty) boxsets when they came out. By 2010, I figured out to wait before buying them.

Not to mention that now, ten years after the first bootleg boxset, people should know that if they want the boxset, they have to wait.. and get a better price and silver pressed CDs (since 2013).

Makes sense to me. Now people have no idea if boxsets are even coming, so they buy the 1 or 2 or 10 they really want. Then buy the box set when it comes out.
Yes, they should know and wait. But like I said, they never announce it so no one really knows. I'd be willing to put money down that if they announce a 2018 box set tomorrow, there will be people who buy it who already have more than 1 bootleg.

Yep that’s me for sure. They know if they announced it right away they’d make less $ since they wouldn’t sell as many one-off shows. Oh well

I agree that they probably make more money this way. It was just the "Forcing people to buy repeats..." part that sounds a little off to me. Because I bought them individually in the past, and then just bought the empty box later, so no repeats. But now that I think about it, there weren't empty boxes for 2015 and 2016 strangely, and that sucks. But at the end of the day, no one is forcing anything. I honestly lost all hopes in thinking TC would improve its communication. I mean, look at the annual single, they're two years behind and not a single word about it, and you'd expect them to announce the 2018 boxset earlier? No way. Not saying this is a good practice, anyway.

I bought all the 2015 South American bootlegs when there was a 20% discount on Nugs and the Boxset was announced a week later ...
I am now enjoying Nugs subscription from time to time, it’s very convenient.

I agree, then you have years with no box ‘11/‘12 or, years where the bix set was limited (‘08-‘09) and are no longer available yet, you can still buy singles for those years. Very confusing not having a pattern. Also, certain shows aren’t available and, I really don’t understand that at all.
