    So these 2 girls had this planned on the same day all the packages/bombs were arriving. Plus that same day, as I was driving through Louisville, someone decided to walk into a Kroger there, and open fire killing 2 people. But THIS STORY with the 11 and 12 year old girls truly blew my mind. So many questions. What the hell was going through their minds? Did they even truly comprehend what the hell they had planned? How did 2 children, so YOUNG, come up with this idea? Its been 2 days, and I wonder what's going through these girls minds. Did they believe, once they were caught and admitted to what they had planned, did they think they would get a slap on the wrist and just go back home to their parents, and their warm beds? Would their life just go on? Or did it once enter their minds just how much their lives were going to drastically change? I really want to know what their upbringing was like. What was going on at home? What on Earth possessed these 2 girls to come up with this? Its mind boggling.

    It just amazes me that an 11 and 12 year old can think of doing something even Charles Manson would be shocked with. They were going to drink the blood and eat the flesh? They were going to attack younger children, since they were easier targets? They were going to leave body parts on the front stairs of the school? And then commit suicide?


    WHAT ON EARTH WAS GOING ON IN THEIR LIVES?????

    Do you guys watch tv? The whole zombie and vampire genre, dexter, blood & guts & gore that’s all over fox, tbs, etc., etc.? Parents probably had it on 24/7. But who really knows what drives kids to do really stupid shit?

    that is horrific. And 11/12 year old brains are not fully formed to understand consequences. That's why teens do such risky stuff - it doesn't fully form till the 20's - so that is one answer to your question Speedy. And they spent the weekend watching horror movies, but the plan as it's laid out in such detail of how they would kill  and then stack them, etc - thank god no child went into that bathroom before the parent called the school. I don't even know what I would do if my child were involved in something like this. They need to be deprogrammed or something. It's scary. 

    I heard about the shooting - someone walked into a store and shot a black guy in the back of the head because he was black - that's what you were talking about in Kentucky? Disgusting and horribly tragic. And downright cowardly.

    Obviously pretty disturbing events and difficult to read. However, I have no idea why people would already be talking about them being tried as adults. First, this is so far beyond the usual behaviour for that age that they both clearly need pretty thorough psychiatric/psychological assessments to understand this. We don't even know if they're even cognitively typical kids or not.  

    But even after that - they're 11 and 12! Nowhere near adults, nowhere near even understanding death let alone the enormity of what they talked about. Their plan, as laid out, shows how little they understood about what would happen - did they think the kids would be silent? Not fight back? No-one would come to look for missing kids? No one else might need to use the washroom?? They didn't even take any action, and thank goodness for that, but who knows if they would have even acted if they got the chance.
