This is one of the bands at the West Memphis gig....might pass. This sounds like complete rubbish.
Formed in 2002 in Auckland, New Zealand, Ward 10 have been making waves and playing to enthusiastic, enthralled and, at times, sickened crowds ever since. With comments on the bands' sound such as "a non-stop mind-f#@king roller coaster of electro-metal pounding sickness!!!" and "a seamless 50 minute stomping collection of technically proficient epic tracks that pound you in the head continuously then stop to let you take a breath before thumping you in the face yet again...!" these guys are on top of their game and definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Ward 10 are everything but conventional with 50 minute songs and a backing track of beats including samples, bizarre noises and even a trumpet solo! Plus, where else are you gonna see a gimp playing an electrified cello! Although, surprisingly, he chooses to play it standing up, rather than sitting down and wrapping his legs around the large vibrating piece of wood…
Ward 10 will play anywhere and everywhere and, for a band as unconventional as Ward 10, success in the New Zealand Battle of the Bands would seem like an uphill struggle. Yet despite being far removed from what would be considered mainstream and radio friendly, the band has made it through to the regional final three years running. A great achievement given the diverse range of judges the band has impressed over the years and is a testament to the bands' strong writing and performances.
Its been 8 years, but I still believe...PJ in NZ 06!

Yeah, I read about that. I sympathise with you. Though I assure you, your pain will be only slightly more than ours, if they indeed skip NZ again.
A small girl smiles...one eyelid flickers, she whips a pistol from her knickers. She aims it at the preacher's head. And run (run, bang) she shoots him dead.
Hey Kiwis. I've decided to get my shit together and get over what happened on Friday. The quicker I pay off the damage the better. Once I get that outta the way I can get back on track. I've put my video iPod on Trademe. iPods will be around for along time so I suppose I could do with out it for awhile. I'm gonna be car pooling and taking buses for awhile. Which is a bigger pain in the arse for me than it sounds. I live in Feilding, and work and study in Palmy. All during the week so its a real bitch not to have my own wheels. Just hope the car isn't written off. Anyway let's just hope for some NZ shows. Cheers people.
Hey I'm huge fan of pearl jam like you guys but I'm getting really fucked off with this whole vector arena thing. Surely PJ could play somewhere else or release some info on whether they are coming or not. If Pearl Jam don't come to NZ this time round I will find it very hard to listen any of their music..................

I thought it was your parents' car anyway, so don't worry about it! In my experience, it's often better to get the car written off, then you can get the payout and go buy a new car, otherwsie you gotta wait for it to get fixed and it's never the same after that...
Im trying to keep hopes up, I spoke to my mate who works at Mainzeal (who are building the Vector stadium) and he reckons November is every chance to be ready. Could even be Pearl Jam breaking it in! Its right in town for those who want to party on afterwards, although it being a Friday in summer id be going home for cricket. Think id wanna go home and soak it all up anyway rather than get hammered

Sounds promising. Man how cool would that be to have Pearl Jam be the first band to play in there. People would be all over it like a rash. Yeah I'd go out and party afterwards but wouldn't wanna get too hammered. I'd probably spend the night searching for the band. Even if it was to shake thier hand and say thanks for the music.

or we could all go and party together... and search for the band.... and party with them

Youd have to have inside knowledge, like Tracey from the Rock met Ed thru someone telling her he'd be in a certain bar that night. I dont think too many other people would recognise them either which is cool. Tracey said she was the only one in a packed bar who even knew who he was.

Yes I am somewhat bitter and twisted.
My trademe name is vitalogist.
PM me if you want details
I think you've already posted the details. So yeah not much has changed. Why is steel so expensive anyway?
Increased demand worldwide for steel - led particually by China, has seen the price increase dramatically.
With the project taking so long, and the price not being hedged, the steel price is making an already blown budget worse

everything will be fine:)

There's just to many of them.
And they've never had a concert! So that serves em right.
