    But Kavanaugh swore he wouldn't overturn RvW. He wouldn't lie to Susan Collins. Such an exceptional person!?

    People who do not have wombs sound creepy speaking about them. Obsessed with something they don't have.

    The comeback is sadly spot on.

    When I'm at work, I try very hard to not talk politics.  It's a bookstore.  I don't want somebody walking out and saying, "Well I'm not going there again, that place sucks."  The more people read, the more they have a chance of learning some things.

    So today, I really had to bite my tongue.  A customer came in asking if we still carried automotive manuals.  I noticed right off his hat with a patch on it that read, "Don't step on my freedom".

    "Hmmm", I thought, "Better stay on the subject of automobiles."

    While we were talking, another customer came up to pay for his books, looked at the dude with the MAGA inspired hat patch and said,  "I really like your hat.  Yesterday was a great day in America."

    "You bet it was," the dude with the hat replied.  I sat there biting my tongue, imagining blood running down my face and shirt from biting so hard, but I kept my cool.

    But now I'm home and can speak my mind freely so, excuse me, but I really need to say what I wanted to say to those two dudes;

    WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING!!!

    They’re dudes. Doesn’t sound like they care much about women’s rights to their own bodies.

    I am definitely pro choice but I do believe that there should be some sort of limits. Maybe beginning of the third trimester?

    There are laws. The murdering babies anarchy myths are bullshit right wing talking points that Fox News viewers eat up. For example:

    "Illinois law prohibits abortions once a fetus is considered viable (which is around 23-24 weeks gestation), except in cases of risks to the life or health of the pregnant person."

    Maybe this is one reason it's becoming more and more frustrating for me.  I don't have a team.  So no celebrations.

    Reminds me of a bookstore in my town that recently closed.  It had been focused on kids for years, probably wasn't doing the greatest...maybe breakeven if lucky.  It went up for sale and someone else bought it.  They kept most of the kid theme but added a lot of adult books....unfortunately they were mostly right wing books from Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.  Not a good way to greet your new clientele when most of the people coming to the bookstore lived in the downtown area and were more than likely left leaning.

    I think they lasted about a year....probably long enough to wait out their lease, then they closed.  It's an antique store now.
