I prefer the way Eddie used to sing.  Nowadays he seems to sing words to have more syllables than they actually do.  He also seems to emphasize every single word and extends them just for effect.  No need to fancy it up.  Just sing the words like normal.

My friend, who dislikes Pearl Jam, says Eddie sounds like there are marbles in his mouth when he sings.

Enough with Lowlight.  Please make it rare again.
    And retire RITFW.
I’d be ok if they never played Of the Earth again.
And they played the perfect amount of Dirty Frank at Fenway.  Any more would have reminded everyone why they “correctly” choose not to play it.
And Michael Imbibbo does exist and is alive and well on Elm St in Connecticut listening to “his” PJ20 vinyl.

    Good call on Shannon Sharp.
My buddy has a gripe about Eddie ever since running into him at a show in the 90's (pretty sure it was a Elvis Costello concert).  My friend approached him, says Ed was a dick, and now he hates PJ.  I've tried to defend Ed's reaction by saying that he should have left him alone to enjoy the show. But to no avail.

If you say this concert took place between '69 - '82, I'll be disappointed.

It was in the dark days with my ex wife so I am thinking somewhere in the vicinity of 2003-05. Being with my ex might have had something to do with it.

    1. I love Jeremy.  It's where it all started.  Vivid memories of that first listen. I will always happily take Jeremy.
    2. I cringe everytime I hear/read Jamily or It Can't Get Eddie Vedder...
    3. Jeff is my absolute favorite, but his current choice of chapeau makes him look like he escaped from the Amish.
    4. I like a climate controlled environment for their shows.  I loved Wrigley, but I am over the ballpark tours.
    5. The request threads at tour season wear me out.  All of them.
    6. The National is a love and frankly, is slowly topping PJ.  (Not that I don't have a love for PJ.)
    7. Mr TSURT does not have good quality control with merch.  I am not a fan of PJ switching over. Merch is sized smaller and not well made.

The band should stop leaving the stage for encore breaks. Everyone knows they are coming back on. There's silence between sets. People used to cheer. Now they stand around checking phones while waiting for the inevitable return.

The two encore thing as a regular is kinda old. Missoula was nice with a longer set, longer encore. No double encore kept the pace going

I don't really agree with Talking Heads > Pearl Jam, but I agree that Talking Heads is better than all the other ones listed in The Talking Heads > RHCP > Pearl Jam > The Who > Soundgarden > Alice in Chains > Nirvana

Also, I can't stand Mick Jagger's voice. It's far too affected for my tastes.

I just assume that’s how they get their longer shows in. Time to get a drink and relax for 5 minutes. Their encores are pretty short. I don’t know how they did Wrigley 2 this year without it.

I'll never understand the love for Talking Heads - I just don't get it. With this said, I dislike a lot of eighties music (and I grew up in the 1980's!).

Bottom third/quarter? Maybe. I dunno about the worst. With this said, I like every song on that album.

I don’t think Bono sucks but I’ve never gotten into U2.
Masters of War is a boring cover.  The only good version is the original cover Ed and Mike did for the Bob Dylan special or whatever.
You forgot to mention G.E. Smith from the Saturday Night Live Band!!!!!!

    - Vs is their best album imho.
    - I'm totally over even flow, its too long when they play it live.
    - Inside Job and Sad are their best tracks since Yield.
    - Sad should have been on an album cause its amazing.
    - I love Sirens and I think Lightning Bolt is one of the worst tracks of the album.
    - I'm not a fan of all the skull merchandise.
    - Binaural and the front and back cover of Avocado are my favourite artwork.

Non PJ: Foo fighters live nowadays are utterly disappointing with a routine set and studied routines.

I'm always a little disappointed when a show starts with something other than one of the "traditional" openers. Release, Oceans, Wash, Sometimes, Of The Girl, etc.

Agree on Down. Sad is fantastic though. Should obviously been on Binaural and released as a single.
