So, for the record, if that was your argument, I'd agree with you. I hope choice stays in place. I actually believe it will b/c if the Supreme Court ever overturns Roe v Wade (which I actually believe they won't, but if they do), Congress will enact a STRONGER law to protect it while local courts put stays and other legal things in place to allow choice to continue until such a thing happens. Why? Because our framers are geniuses and created checks and balances and ways to shift power over time that makes sure the people's voices are heard even if there's times the pendulum swings too far one way at a particular time.

So, keep Trump in power by diverting from the issues and fighting battles not only can't you win but shouldn't.

She is definitely a yes - she's starting out by saying how bad the other side has acted.

Very disappointed in her. And she hasn't even said the word yes,yet.

He reassured her that he wouldn't touch Roe v Wade; I guess she also believes that the check is in the mail and I won't say the other.

You need both to flip If you go based on today's vote, it's currently 51-49 with Manchin and Murkowsi going against party line. If Manchin flips and Collins doesn't, Pence breaks tie. So, you are definitely wrong.

The Republicans have done their best to push this nomination through without regards for normal, due process. Both Republicans and Democrats requested Kavanaugh's writings from theBush Library. When the library said they could not deliver them before October, which was not unreasonable given there is no hard deadline for approving the nomination, the GOP basically said "nevermind, we don't need the documents". Of the papers they do have, the GOP's "independent" reviewer to determine which of the documents the Democrats were permitted to view is the lawyer for Steve Bannon and McGahn. McGahn's swan song before he's fired by Trump is to plow through with his SC candidate. And the latest FBI investigation/background check, which is routine for accusations against federal judiciary candidates at any time during the process, was restricted by Trump to ensure no new details emerge that could hurt Kavanaugh. Of course Trump blamed the Senate for the restrictions, and the GOP Senators blamed Trump and everyone in GOP is happy with that because they can say they "followed every procedure properly", "went above and beyond" - went above and beyond to push through a candidate who any reasonable person would reject. There are plenty of equally qualified conservative judges who are more dignified, respectful and less partisan than Kavanaugh. Mitch McConnell wouldn't hire Kavanaugh to be his intern, but he's fine putting him on the Supreme Court - victory!
