No excuses, but the Brewers did have to win 20 out of 27 to make it happen. That is impressive.

Impressive indeed. And with the Cubs having to play 41 games in 42 days, it’s impressive they were still in position today to take it. I’m surprised there weren’t more injuries, but it’s quite obvious attrition has set in. We lost the division by a game and had to play an extra game to do so. Though I must say MLB should really look into changing the Postseason seeding by record. This is twice in the last 4 seasons now that we’ve finished with a better record than two division winners and ended up as a WC.
