I haven't heard any conservative say they think she is lying. Even the GOP senators said that she was credible...they just think she is mistaken that it was Kavanaugh.

They are basing it on the three people that she named at the party not being able to back up her story. It's convenient for them...of course those three don't remember because they weren't assaulted and Ford didn't tell them she was assaulted.

That's all well and good, but comparing Till to Kavanaugh is outrageous. If one can't distinguish the difference between telling your spouse something and testifying under oath, with the world watching, then one must be deliberately obtuse.

The main problem with the analogy is that Till was not killed because of a movement for the rights of women. He was killed because he was a black kid and that was as good an excuse as any. The men who murdered that 14 year old held white women in just a wee bit higher regard than a black kid. This was a racist issue. Kavanaugh is a sexist issue.

I forget who was questioning Kavanaugh at the time but I remember they asked about some legal phrase that basically meant "if caught lying once you are likely lying multiple times".

Kavanaugh was clearly lying about his drinking habits. He was clearly lying about the yearbook entries. He is only a few years older than me...I went to school with pricks like him. Boofing referred to farts? Devil's Triangle a drinking game? Fucking bullshit.

If he would have been truthful from the start he would have been confirmed already. Now he's in the performance of his life to get his lifetime seat.

Take them one case at a time. Gather the information, maybe give a lie detector test, go to court, make a determination. Why complicate the situation? Why make assumptions? Get the facts. Make a judgement. If guilty, apply appropriate punishment and make an example of inappropriate behavior. Men, be cool, set a good example, treat women as equals. Women, be truthful, don't fabricate bullshit.

Damn, this is such a crazy mixed up world. Maybe that's what make's my head spin? (Sure wish I had an answer to that vexing issue. Sorry- I know, it's not all about me.)
