Yelich had 11 home runs at the all star break. He has 36 (I think) as of today. Let that sink in. Impressive stuff. 

Well, like I said all along before I went into nice mode, this team just isn’t that good. It’s amazing they are in the playoffs let alone still in a fight for the division and still with the best record going into the final day. It’s finally caught up to them. Of course, 40 games in 41 days to end the season certainly didn’t help (fuck you MLB) but when the going gets tough, this team has just never had it all season long. Wasted way too many series against subpar teams. Way too many multi game slumps of not hitting and not scoring runs. Way too many first inning runs given up.  Aside from Zobrist, all these guys care about is hitting home runs. Maddon with his 200 different lineups and stupid pitcher batting 8th bullshit, the latter of which statistically does NOT fucking work but is too fucking stubborn to stop being quirky for the sake of being quirky. Our two “blockbuster” pitching acquisitions who - as a said when we signed them - were complete fucking wastes of money. Must win game tomorrow and we have Montgomery on the fucking mound. Great. Cards 7-1, calling it now. And, ya know, that lone Cubs run will come in the fucking 8th because they’ll strikeout 14 times up to that point trying to hit longballs. On-base percentage and advancing runners is a completely foreign concept to these fuckers. Javy will have another 0-4 with 3K game, striking out on pitches that hit the dirt in the left hand batters box (his specialty) meanwhile Yelich will go 3-4 with a homer, double, and 4 RBI as the Brewers win 7 straight to take the division, while the Cubs go 3-4 to the fucking Pirates an Cards to close out the year. Choke artists. Fucking bums.

Looking likely that the Brewers will win. We must hold on!! And hope for a shutout by whoever starts tomorrow bc Maddon is gonna use the entire pen today.
