Screaming Trees[Kidding; my vote's for the Screaming Trees. But Harvey Danger -- they were on staff at the UW student paper, weren't they?]

And Screaming Trees was my favorite local band back in the day (so not 2nd Tier for me). Saw them play many times in the 90's and they always put on amazing shows."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." EV, 04/13/080 -

Sunny Day is such a great underrated band from the 90s.Listen to "Diary", "How it Feels to Be Something On" and "Rising Tide"- all great albums
LP2 isn't bad but it was a little thrown together after their initial breakup but some hard core fans like it the best.

Screaming TreesI have to say that, until this thread was posted, I’d never even heard of Some Velvet Sidewalk. I’ve never heard them on the radio, or through friends, I haven’t even seen mentioned on the forum before.“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)
“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
(Tim Rogers)0 -
CandleboxI tried some Sunny Day Real Estate last night, because of the praise they're getting in this thread. I dunno. Maybe iTunes doesn't have the best sample tracks, but everything sounded like the same song and the lead singer sounds way too whiny for me. I feel like a few of my friends who were into "emo" listened to them back in the day. Yeah, you can count me out on that.
