Thanks.  I'll probably stick to 18x24 and leave the rest to the pros.
Make sure to practice cutting on cardboard or something else,  It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I've gone through more mats than I thought I would.
Gotta push the bevel cutter firmly, thoroughly.  And I change the blade after every job.  Because you can flip the blade, one blade lasts for two jobs.  But yeah, if you don't cut through properly, you will blow the project.  I've definitely screwed up a few..

Learned to change the blade and start little early on the corner cuts. Gone through 4 mats doing 2 posters, probably could of had them cut professionally for less but it's part of learning I guess

Yes, I'm almost always use two mats.  Watch this video for a 2 minute tutorial from Logan (they make the mat cutters).  These are small prints, but the process is exactly the same.

Are they giving you kickbacks for still pimping out that video?

Yeah that's right.. you have to cut just a shade longer than you think.  If you stop too early and don't connect the two cuts, well then it's jacked and it will rip the mat.  That was my big learning.  I have had to take an x-acto and cut a little hanger from time to time, but as long as it doesn't rip, it's good.  Definitely a learning curve.

Holy crap, that looks hard and so easy to fuck up, lol, and I would. I'd way rather just pay someone to do it for me! But good on anyone who actually has the confidence to try it.

BEAUTIFUL. Great choices! I LOOOOVE the texture of the frames; they complement the images beautifully.

I'm not sure if any of you remember Chris (the Hoff) from the boards.  He is a framer from Virginia who did a ton of frames for some of us a few years back.

I'm talking to him about doing some frames for me and he wanted me to ask if there might be any interest from anyone else?  He can give us some price breaks depending on how many frames he puts together.

The frames he did for me were perfect.  I can post some pictures if you like.  Much better job than Michael's/HobbyLobby and less expensive.  I can provide more details when I hear from him.

I'm looking to get at least 10 framed.

Here is a link to some of his work.  He did the New York Donkey Kong for me as well.

Count me as interested. I will drive some of my prints down from Northern VA as I don't trust shipping on things like my AP Pitt 13.

If the Canadian dollar wouldn't be as bad as it is, I would be down with the Hoff doing some more posters for me again. He did 6 for me about 5 years ago. It was actually cheaper for him to do framing and ship them all to Ontario for me than it was to get them done locally. He did a fantastic job and the packaging was top notch.

Do you remember what the prices were like?  I think I'm 100% in for this.

In the grand scheme of things, I believe the average poster size of 18"x24" was running you around $185 and that was double matte. I paid a bit for shipping and can't recall the amount. But it didn't matter to me because I knew he would put care in what he was doing and how they would turn out. He was awesome to deal with

    Hello,
Where did you make the 18×24 photocopy? I'd like to do something similar with my Emek Philly and Portland 2013.
Have a safe and good week.

I have thought about multiple prints in a single frame as well. This is what I would love to do with my Philly set:

Not sure if its going to be possible but i think it would look damn cool!

This was a custom wood frame from Great Frame Up in Wisconsin.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Has anyone framed their Fenway Mumford yet?  I’m hoping to see some ideas or inspiration when I receive my AP!

That looks beautiful. I didn’t have the wall space, so I framed mine with glass front and back!

I bought the mats and probably doing it this weekend.  I think it's midnight blue and black.  I was going to try to neutralize the bright colors.  I'm open to suggestions too.

Can’t wait to see it!  I was kind of thinking along the same line with the midnight blue, but maybe with a matching yellow to the lettering...

I did the Mumford bourbon in midnight blue with the yellow. I'll take a pic tonight.  It will give you a decent sense of what the Fenway might look like..
