            NoI do this myself.
I wouldn't trust Heinz to get the perfect ratio. And everyone who does this has his/her own perfect ratio. Dumb move.I SAW PEARL JAM0

There's horseradish and hooker pee in Russian dressing, in addition.Cliffy6745 said:Isn't this called Russian salad dressing?

No. Russian dressing has a kick to it (peppers, horseradish, etc.).Cliffy6745 said:Isn't this called Russian salad dressing?
What it is is fry sauce.
Aside: Can you even find Russian dressing anymore? Most reubens I order these days seems like they're using thousand island in lieu of Russian dressing.

Shelsky's was a daily stop for me in Brooklyn, and even they used thousand island on their reuben. Katz still used Russian dressing, but that was a schlep.I SAW PEARL JAM0

NoThat sandwich needs a go-around on the griddle, goddamn it. And there's just no excuse for not having a barrier between the slaw the rye. That is a fuckup of monumental proportions.
(Yes, I'd still eat it.)I SAW PEARL JAM0

The Russian is the barrier, right? A generous portion on each piece of bread before the sammy is made. Sorta like putting Mayo on a burger bun to provide protection from the grease ruining the bun?dankind said:That sandwich needs a go-around on the griddle, goddamn it. I only see Russian on one side of the rye. Nevertheless, MELTED Swiss should be the barrier between the slaw and the GRILLED rye slathered with Russian on BOTH sides.F Me In The Brain said:
