Worse perhaps than fake is that it is manipulated.  This has been going on for several decades.  I saw a mini documentary many years ago that illustrated how two different networks edited footage of the exact same incident.  Viewing them individually, what you got were two completely disparate stories implying hugely different perspectives/ outcomes.  You can't believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.

Exactly, if people would only realize that by refusing to evacuate, they put the first responder's lives at risk.
