Tomorrow night!I SAW PEARL JAM0
-
As excited as I am to see this supergroup that Wayne Kramer has assembled (Kim Thayil, Brendan Canty, Dug Pinnick et al.) tonight, I've gotta say that I have major generational envy for anyone who got to see the original MC5 back in the late '60s/early '70s. They were quite possibly the greatest rock and roll band on the planet, and the video footage that survives from that era is so fucking charged.
Still, I'll be thrilled to see Brother Wayne tonight.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -

Dan,I read somewhere that the bass player for Faith No More replaced Dug Pinnick on the US leg. not sure if that is true or not.

Every time I drive past that place, I envision the video you posted. The guy whose name is at the top of all the old Detroit concert posters (uncle Russ Gibb) was a teacher at my high school. He used to have some wild stories about the Grande Ballroom. Can't wait for the show in Detroit.MO195132 said:Wobbie said:so.....a band that couldn’t draw a crowd 50 years ago is now a big thing?
