Code named Operation Northwoods, the plan, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.
JFK denied the plan, to the frustration of the generals. But this sounds familiar. Isn't this what 9/11 theories are claiming happened that day? That members of the US government were behind the attacks?

Yep, the Northwoods documents are pretty fucking damning.
And they will play this angle out to the 2nd derivative or further.
Commit the act yourself and obfuscate by blaming someone else.

(see the now public documentation of Hoover on the phone with LBJ about Oswald in Mexico)
and then USE the obfuscation to obfuscate even further -- or hell, even use it to "blackmail" politicians in to playing ball ...
in the case of JFK, the information on Oswald in Mexico (where Oswald was set up, to the point of there being a fake Oswald) was used to coerce Chief Justice Earle Warren in to leading "The Warren Commission" which concluded that LHOswald was the lone assassin. So kill them yourself,
frame someone else,
and then USE that frameup to STOP THE INVESTIGATION.
"OK Warren Commission, we aren't going to look at this this or this, because we can not indicate to the American public that their was a Communist (Cuban) plot to kill the president, which Oswald was involved in, so do not ask those questions, or look at those documents" ... and "You better go along with being on this commission, because if you don't 40million Americans could die in a nuclear exchange between Russia and the USA".

So... it was drafted by the DOD... presented to the Secretary of Defense... approved by the Joint Chiefs... and made it all the way to the Presidents desk for approval...
