Concert DVDs

Who would pay for  a DVD of the Chicago or Seattle show(s) they attended?  I wish they would release a full DVD for each show the way they do bootlegs for each concert.  It wouldnt need to be anything fancy.  I would happily pay for just the footage they use on the video screens during the shows.

    Weird they haven't tried it.

The Who did it in 2007.

I would, but I always gathered the band isn't as big a fan of video as they are of audio (Which I entirely surmised years ago when they would let people active record/trade audio from their shows but not video).  Plus when they play music festivals that air on tv (or stream online) they usually prevent their set from airing.

Yes - count me in for this! Some of the filming this tour has been pretty amazing too.

Yep. They have the footage from all the shows that go up on the side screens. Just need a little A/V magic with the bootlegs and BOB'S YOUR UNCLE, we have video bootlegs! Maybe once the merch fever dies down, we'll here something about something, some time.

My theory is that they are "banking" a lot of concert video footage.  They clearly have put a lot of effort into shooting quality video during shows the past few years.  I would love to have Bluray of all the shows I went to, and I enjoy watching the Youtube videos.  But I predict we will start seeing release of official concert video footage only when the band isn't touring/recording much anymore.  Just my $0.02

+1 on the Blu-Ray and Vinyl, especially if it's 4k.

I think this is a great idea.  I don't mean to sound selfish saying this, but it would make my heart happy.  I saw Pearl Jam once and I will very likely never see them live again-- or any other band for that matter.  My hearing is just too shot with screaming tinnitus and hyperacusis and, because sound travels through one's skeletal structure, other than an isolation booth, nothing can attenuate loudness enough for my battered hearing.

So DVDs!  Yeah!  Bring em on!

Should have released one for every tour year. Even when the physical media-market dried up, they could have released in their own shop.

There has to be a reason they are holding off on releasing all of this stuff.  The turnaround on Fenway 1 last year was what? 18 hours?  I don't expect them to release every show they do, but they are sitting on an absolute shit ton of video.

I would love a Touring Band type of DVD of the Euro/Home/Away shows. Would have loved it from the previous tours too......
