Does the right even know what they want? They are against government except when they're not, which is often. It just doesn't make sense.

LMFAO ... Absolutely no true conservative or right leaning individuals will ever say they want no government ... they want smaller government and lower taxes. Stereotyping that right leaning people that want no government would be the like the right stereotyping lefties as wanting big government so they can get free stuff ... both assumptions are not really accurate. But I'm sure there is a fringe element on the right that wants no government, just as there are a fringe element on the left that want free basic income ... etc. But those people are on the extreme of the left and right as far as I'm concerned.Give Peas A Chance…0

I spoke with a friend of a friend (connection take strange courses) who hates Obama and is typical right wing. He said something about wanting government to stay out of things. So he did not say he wants NO government, but I would say he wants very little government. I think the right wants less government more the the left wants big government. The way it's been put here before by someone (can't remember who) is that the right is against government except when they're not. I think that's pretty accurate. But I stand by what I said as far as the right not really knowing what they want. A church in the south calls themselves Christians but are generally in favor of Trump because he want to build a wall and is against abortion. So they believe in following what Jesus said except when they don't. The right wants to make America great again but they scoff at people who are concerned about climate change and they don't believe global warming is anthropogenic even thought 97 percent of published scientists believe it is.Etc. These are generally very conflicted people who tend to hold grudges, are angry, and seem to have a hard time dealing with the fact that the world will not always revolve around white people, white men in particular. The world has been controlled by people of European decent and that is changing and they are freaking out about it. Rather than learn to get along and accept that variety is the spice of life, they choose to separate themselves and make themselves more vulnerable. They would rather go down in a blaze of self-deceiving glory than be a part of the words as it really is.All that said, there are also faction of the left that have their short-comings, particularly people of landed gentry / aristocracy/ privileged backgrounds who give lip service to things like environmental issues but consume far more than the average person can in order to maintain sustainability. I know people like this who don't even recycle. Not the majority do this, but there are those rich liberals who are hypocritical that way."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Well your countries politics is just out right bazaar to me anyways ... I could never support a democrat or republican ... both parties are so far in bed with pharmaceuticals, big business, etc ... and are driven by money. Not one democrat or republican really gives a shit about their citizens ... just as long as people are foolish enough to think voting for their corrupt candidate is worth it...
I feel the same about Canadian politicians.Give Peas A Chance…0 -
