I remember being at a concert where Eddie was talking about (I'll have to dig down in my memory bank) a couple who met through their love of pearl jam. He had heard that they had already had a few kids they named Jeff, Stone and Mike... and he joked that they were probably '"fucking away to make a little Eddie".

I don't want to make that seem like a direct quote (pretty close), I remember it being a bit vulgar and hilarious... the crowd erupted with applause. I write this here in hopes that those two folks reply and give us an update on their additions to the world.

I think Pearl is a beautiful name for a girl, but I don't think I've met one in my travels.
    Gotta get out more.

    Keep on rockin'...
I'm an aspiring musician, but an artist in all things creative, all things.

I have a daughter, which I named Randee after Randy Rhoads but if she turned out to have been a son his name would have been October Stone

I dont think I would name my kid after a member of Pearl Jam. Just seems like a little too much. But there are some very good names here.

I always liked the name Stone. But my last initial is "D".....so Stone D may be funny to a pot head like me, but not really to name your son. :)

I knew a guy that named his son Vedder and his daughter Pearl. For me it's a bit much to name my child after a band or people in a band. My son's first name is Matthew, but not because of Matt Cameron. It's just the only name my wife and I could agree on

My oldest is named after a girl, Eric (named after my wife's twin sister; Erica). I got to pick the 2nd.

    Edward Stone

I don't think naming kids after a band member is big deal (are we supposed to name our kids after family members??). Maybe it's because I was named after the 6 million dollar man (Steve) 35 years ago.

No PJ names for either of my kids but both kids have music influenced names. My oldest son is Tyler, named after a Toadies song, and my youngest son is Layne.

I have no kids yet, but the wife and I have always considered naming a son Nathaniel Vedder. The name Pearl for a girl is very pretty too. May have to consider it! I always love hearing people named in honor of musicians. I think Hendrix could be a cool name for a girl or boy.

I am hoping to one day. I think Vedder would make a cool middle name. Musicians name their kids after musicians all the time, so I don't find it all that weird, imho.

My dog is named Eddie but not after EV.

Personality wise,  he is more like "Shitter was full!" Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation than Eddie Vedder.
If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV
