He got his arse out at the end of one gig I was at, back in 1992. He's practically a stock-still elder statesman, these days.
  • Does anyone honestly like "Can't Deny Me"?
I like that song.  And you can't deny me on that one

Good god, is there a single Pearl Jam song you don't like if you like that garbage?

    While we're at it...

    Pete, no more sliding.

Chuck, don't even think about duck walking.

    Angus, cut that shit out.

I hope at your next PJ show they play Can't Deny Me with Mike feeling like walking even more than usual

    All the best

He only walks in counterclockwise circles while onstage.
This is bad, very bad, you must always walk clockwise in the circle.

    I love Can't Deny Me.

There are a handful of songs I don't like. I just saw my 81st show in Seattle and my excitement level was as high as it was for my first on 7/11/95. Bring on Wrigley!

Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

Do you play guitar? I’d love to hear your version of eruption. I bet it’s way better than Mike’s. It’s tough to stand still for multiple hours and play. The moving around helps aliviate back pain, leg cramps, etc. Oh and he fucking enjoys his fucking job.

I changed my comments since people obviously can't take a joke, but seriously his whole walking around pointing act in between playing.  Could do without it...anyway love PJ, see y'all at Wrigley N1
I got a good laugh out of it. I actually enjoy watching Mike run around and do his thing. He's high energy which I can totally relate to. I prefer to be on his side at the shows. To each his own I guess.

Not really related but Remember when Mike fired back at Yngwie?  He let loose on the guy after Yngwie’s initial criticism.

I'd say there's a few songs that aren't my favorite.  Not big on some of real slow ones.  Dislike, though?  Nah, probably not.

I kinda dig it. I thought that it was awesome live on night 2 in Seattle but I guess I was feeling that way about everything that night.

I would prefer if the whole band just stood still... that way my pics don’t come out blurry.  Otherwise jump, walk, whatever.

Getting pointed at by Mike is second only to getting a tambourine from Ed.

You have your opinion which I respect, but Mike is by far my favorite member of the band and absolutely love the energy he brings to every show. I don’t care if he’s moon walking, 2 stepping, or doing the salsa up there, I love his passion and energy every show. I always line up on his side because he’s so energetic and engaging with all the fans in his area. On top of that, he’s just a great guy from what I hear. Just my thoughts.
