Chicago food and fun?

Loved seeing Jeff's Missoula hit list.
How about something similar for Chicago from fellow fans?
Most importantly, which deep dish pizza is "the one"?
Also, would love to know best museum, record stores and comic book shops.

We enjoy Gibson's a lot but we also visit Ditka's as we have little ones (5 and 3 last time we went) and I have to say the hospitality and service especially with a couple of little ones making a mess and/or noise was beyond fantastic at Ditka's. And even the food was delicious. Gibson's is a home run but Ditka's is a great clean-up hitter ;)

I look at the photos on this list and wonder: "that's a great looking appetizer...but where a the rest of the meal?"

Do they sell the autographed middle finger photo of Da Coach at Ditka's? I've never been there, but I thought I heard they did. I'd go just to buy one of those bad boys.

Yes to Au Cheval.  The fried bologna sandwich is also awesome.  I want either the chicken or a burger next time.

Graham Cracker Comics is pretty good.

I stay away from deep dish, it's more of a tourist thing to do.  Thin crust is where it's at in Chicago, and I would go to either Pequod's or Lou Malnati's.

Definitely agree with the pizza selections but I’d have to recommend trying deep dish for out of towners. I’ve lived here for 37 years and I still love deep dish, although I get it far less frequently than thin crust. If I was not from here, I’d definitely want deep dish. Better yet, get one of each.

Pat's in LP is awesome....used to order from them all the time back in the day.  Tortorice's is a bit west of Wrigleyville on Irving Park and they have great thin crust as well.

You might wait longer to get a burger at Au Cheval than merch at Wrigley.
Also if you go get pizza at Lou Malnati's get the butter crust option. The Butter Crust is life changing
