    The Nazi thing keeps getting brought up because he clearly wants to run things without any checks and balances (no surprise).  And the party and half the population seem to want to let him.  The attacks on the evil "MSM" (bought into by half the people), chants by these people to lock up just about every political adversary, and the constant vilification of all who dare even question him?  Hell, even this military parade. Those are early steps in the march toward authoritarianism.  The parallels to Hitler are there.  That doesn't mean it's going to look exactly like Nazi Germany.  But even from his detractors, I see a frightening lack of critical thinking; essentially that "there's nothing to worry about until we've gassed a few million people.  How can we compare ourselves to a regime that did that?"  How?  By looking at the early signs.  By the time we get to full-fledged authoritarianism, it'll be to late.  Those who don't learn from history...

    We already have fully 40% of the population willing to go wherever Trump wants to take them.  This is a very dangerous time.

    Yes.  Nothing he has done has lowered that number.  Nothing.  That 40% does not think he can do any wrong.  That might be a critical mass (particularly in the only country with a voting system that inflates the votes of those in that 40%) to move in the direction of authoritarianism.  

    We were complacent that Trump would lose.  He won.  We were complacent that he'd get impeached/removed/resign. Looks unlikley.  And the left that I see?  Complacent that he'll lose.  You think 15% think he's god and will follow him to authoritarianism?  Complacent that "it can't happen here."  I think that brand of complacency is dangerous.  It's starting to happen here and the party in power is OK with it.

    I never ever thought for a second that Trump would be impeached, resign, removed.  That to me is lunacy not complacency.  None of those 3 were ever going to happen and it was a pipe dream for anyone to think that.

    I do agree with the complacency part on Trump losing.  I do believe it "can't happen here" and won't happen here too.  

    I'm paying attention more than ever and do realize that Trump is just bad for everyone.  I'm not crazy like Halifax but I will do my part and vote come next election.

    I do believe that only 15% are crazy enough to round up people and fall into the authoritarianism.
