Family affair in Seattle... and a request
Hi all.
I know the Seattle shows are going to be filled with emotion. The band is doing amazing work to raise awareness and fight homelessness (and I imagine the city already feels it), and the loss of Chris will be heavy with us. I'm hoping to ride the coattails of that emotion with a request...
On August 8, 2017 my father had a Bone Marrow Transplant to hopefully eradicate his AML. He had spent the previous 6 months mostly in the hospital fighting and struggling against his leukemia. My mother was by his side almost every minute of that time and my brother and I were there as much as we could be.
As of today, my father is slowly recovering at home. He's had two back surgeries from which he's still dealing with immense pain, but his latest blood reports show almost no trace of AML. I know we still have a long way to go, but it's such a blessing, and I'm so grateful.
So exactly one year post transplant- on August 8, 2018- I'd like to hear Just Breathe to honor the love of my mother and father- Judy and Richard. They have been each others anchor for almost 50 years, and an example of courage and tenacity for our whole family.
My younger brother and I are flying out for the shows, and he turns 40 in August, so I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate.

I’ll be coming out with my wife and best friend for both Seattle shows. My buddy and I both celebrate birthdays in August… This one just so happens to be my 40th. Can’t think of a better way to spend it.
