    I think that is why the Red state fans are going ballistic.  I saw this guy get out of his pickup truck the other day.  He had Trump bumper tickers on the bumper and window, some kind of hard-core pro-gun bumper sticker on the tail gate, and a flag pole attached to the truck's back bumper with a big American flag attached to it.  The pole and flag were so large I began to wonder if the guy might be able to pop a wheelie with all that weight in the rear. 

    Anyway, the point is, this guy gets out of his truck and walks toward me and kid of sizes me up and down.  I'm wearing this t-shirt:


    He glares at me like he wants to ram his flag pole up my back side.  I figure he either hates owls or hates Dinosaur Jr, but then figure more likely he is just angry and hates everything.  I swear this guy looked like he hadn't smiled in a million years and wouldn't do so for a million bucks.  I live in the second most conservative county in California (a strongly red county) and I see this sort of thing all the time.  These people are angry and I think the reason is that the world is changing.  The world they live in is no longer white, male dominated, Christian, Republican, earth hating and red.  The sad things is, I don't hate this man and I didn't return his glare with anger.  I just smiled and went on about my business.
