Alex Jones speaks to a very small demographic and preaches to his choir so whom is breaking ranks from that?  What republicans have endorsed him?  Any?!?  His info wars show was ranked 1008th in the US.  Not sure how many viewers/followers that is but I'm sure it isn't much.

Everyone should condemn him though.  He is almost yelling "fire" in a crowded room.  Almost...  

His rhetoric is way more inflammatory than anything Maxine Waters has said and yet Alex Jones gets a pass? I don’t care how small his audience is. The repubes should be shouting him down, explaining to their audience that threats of violence are never acceptable. Yet, silence from the repubes. Silence = complicity. Team Trump Treason could have lowered the flag for the journalists as a way to soothe tensions but he is compassionless.

I hate defending this but you make it sound like the sky is falling.  How is Trump linked to infowars and Jones?  It's like the democrats yelling at Jello Biafra to "stand down" for whatever he said at his last Spoken Word concert.  No one knows that it is happening and if it is it's a blip that they aren't worried about.  You can't go attacking and condemning everything everyone says.

Maxine got hammered because she is a congresswoman and it became front page news.  Alex Jones is not front page news.  He is page 6 material at best and an entertainer not someone in political office.  Google Alex Jones and only non reputable news sources are carrying the Civil War story, why?  Because it's a damn joke.

The flag lowering he should have done.  That I agree with.  Unfortunately it's just another thing to focus on Trump which shouldn't be happening.  I'd like to focus on bigger issues.  We know he is compassionless.

I bring it up because Maxine gets hammered and the repubes get a pass. It happens over and over again. Who the hell is Jello? Never heard of him. Alex Jones is more well known than his ratings. Info wars is well known. Sandy Hook made sure of that. And no, the sky is not falling but we’re in a very dark period where the normalization of hate is beginning to be okay.

Actually, I live in the red spectrum of a rainbow colored state.

El Dorado County (or, as I sometimes refer to it, Helldorado County) is the second most conservative state in California.   All of our representatives are highly conservative. We have more ROATS (ridiculously over-sized American Trucks), many with big American flags flying from their antennas or the the bed, and more Trump bumper stickers, and more greedy developers and more Republicans than you  can shake a stick at.  What a hoot, huh? 

ah.....Well, California is funny like that.  I used to live in San Diego and worked in the defense industry where I'd say it's 80% conservative.  I grew up in TX and went to college at Texas A&M which is one of the most conservative schools in the country.   Basically, I've been around these folks much more than my own kind.   All I can say is that I know them, but I will never understand them.  
I also lived in Ocean Beach which is supposedly 99% liberal, but I found most people there completely clueless in terms of world affairs. 

Bottom line, the world is a funny place.  There really are good people on both sides.  My problem with the Right rests mostly in the loudmouth types who stoke fear and anger in the otherwise rational minded ones.
