Thanks guys! That was a gig we won’t forget in a hurry after the sad news about Eddies voice. The audience were absolutely incredible and it sold out in an hour, which is just mind blowing. It was an insight into what it must have been like for Pearl Jam to play at the Borderline back in 92 and a memory we’ll treasure forever!

If anyone from here was there from the forum then please send us any video footage you have to our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pearljammband

We all had a ball. A great end to an otherwise rubbish day!

It was brilliant and a small consolation for the crappy day.  Imagine seeing pearl jam there in 1992 - a mind blowing thought.

We wrote it 5 mins before we went onstage, we had to cut BOJ and Ledbetter unfortunately due to time constraints

Nice set. I would've cut Sirens over Brain of JFK, though.

Cheers! Yeah BOJ is a beast of a song. The mosh pit was so wild though it was handy to have some slow ones! We left Sirens in so we had something from a recent album. Tbh they’ve got so many amazing tunes it’s difficult cutting the set down, there’s always more songs you want to add in!

Haha didnt notice any toilet breaks @lolobug. Crowd was absolutely brilliant and mental throughout....first time we’ve ever had people crowd surfing in Black :):)

@dmpolb hahaha it was only his voice that’s knackered, his writing hand is still fine :)

Awesome, thanks for making it such an awesome night. Yea in all the excitement our singer Santi forgot to mention it hahaha.

Probably best eat we didn’t, doubt the place would have been left standing once everyone had taken some “momento’s” :)

Well done Webbo whoever that got sorted. What a great plan . Well executed . Good people
Thanks mate! Well if interested we basically heard the news it was cancelled at 2pm, which was awful as we all had tickets. I think 10mins later we’d decided to put on a show so by 4pm we had booked The Borderline (who were amazing considering they had to get bar staff, security etc within hrs) and got a ticket link online.

At this point we weren’t sure if our drummer was available but a chap called Enzo from another PJ tribute (called Brain of J) who is an absolute legend said he could step in. We actually managed to get hold of Eddies agent (the day really couldn’t have got more surreal!) who spoke to Matt Cameron asking if he’d fancy drumming with us...he politely declined but still, we were overwhelmed he’d even been asked!

By 5pm the gig was completely sold out! Most of us work in London but to give you an idea of the behind the scenes stuff. I had to get a tube an hour back home, grab all my gear and drive back into London, unload, find somewhere to park etc so I didn’t get to the venue until just before 8pm. We sound checked, sorted as many people out as we could with tickets who didn’t have any until it was packed, wrote set and were onstage just after 9pm, and our drummer turned up just in time. Huge props to Enzo and we asked him to play the first few songs with us, hence the swap over.

We’re all still buzzing from the gig, we’ll put together a video from all the fan footage as a momento for people who were there. Unforgettable :)

It really was superb.  We were lucky enough to be tipped off the gig might be happening by a lady in All bar one in the o2, lukcy to get tickets just in time.

I also didn't realise the borderline was where Pearl Jam played in 1992.  Made it even more memorable.

Well done to all for getting organised and sorted so quickly.

I'll echo what has been said above. Top effort lads! Arranging this salvaged the night for those lucky enough to grab tickets. Nevermind you couldn't get Matt C to drum - was absolutely excellent night anyway. The atmosphere, energy of the band, history of the venue, getting Given to Live up on stage (after being mentioned on Monday), and the general attitude of everyone in there just shows what great people Pearl Jam fans really are! My feet and throat are still ruined haha. Thanks again!
