well, that's shit all round. I'm sure the band feel terrible and it's really brutal for travelling fans too.

I had the feeling after hearing about Eddie’s voice last night that he might need to rest it.

Yep, I am not surprised. If anything I am surprised it took till this afternoon to announce. Guess they were just trying to give it as much time as possible.

He had completely lost it by the end of last night. Was just about to head off again myself. Must be the toughest call to make but you cant have a gig without the singer

Oh no! I travelled here from Sweden ... But I am very grateful I got to see them last night. I am very curious about when they will do this show in mid July.

Should we still pick up our tix at the O2 today or wait? I was going to go there in a bit.

Ouch baby ouch, had to be the happy ending of our vacations, GF not knowing we were scheduled on a 2nd show before getting back to France tomorrow. Anyway will do absolutely anything humanly possible to get back here for the rescheduled show. Above all wishing a good and fast recovery to Ed. I Hope this gets back on tracks quickly and the band and the fans continue to have a blast as well as we did.

I get that he can’t help being ill and cancelling the show is inevitable. Just would have been nice if they could have made that call last night to give any of us making the trip down today the chance to cancel hotels and annual leave. As it is now I’ll be struggling to afford the cost of another trip down and using leave I don’t have for any rescheduled show. Gutted

I’m so sad for all the fans that came down but I’m so happy to be given a second chance, we had 10c tickets to both nights and was absolutly devastated that we couldn’t get a sitter so we could come. I can’t wait until mid July now!!

I’m at the O2, saw the notice board coming out of the tube. No ten club tickets being given out so I guess there is no point coming down unless you want Merch.

I reckon they’d given him some meds or something and hoping an overnight rest, etc *may* have helped. Clearly it didn’t, so they made the call to cancel.

Hoping they figure out some kind of ticket swap to the gig of our choice the next time they tour for those of us who travelled thousands of miles to be here and aren’t able to return in a month. Like an early entry ticket raffle.

The first time this has happened so no protocol to go by, but 10C usually gets it right and is so kind to us fans. I think this would be a great option.

They can also make it the 8th as Werchter is not so far.

The O2 has nothing on on 19th July, I'd say that's most likely

Sad for my friends who made the trip, but at least they got to see night 1.  We had tickets, but had to cancel the trip b/c my daughter was sick.  Hopefully I can at least get reimbursed for my 10c tix for this show now.
