    My house smells like someone set a skunk on fire. Actual skunk spray is so, so much worse than that skunk smell we all know.

    Yes, probably best to get rid of the cat. Get a skunk instead. They make good pets.

    Oh man, that sucks. :frowning: How did this work out? Did you ever get the smell out? I have never smelled the truly full on stench that I've heard about, but lately there has been a resident skunk (that I've never actually seen) living just outside my apartment or at least visiting there at night, and it is spraying at something - probably the racoons who live right there outside my window in the tree. It's obviously happening very close, like maybe 15 or 20 feet away from my window. I have those window fans installed, so whenever this skunk sprays I get a VERY bad dose of it blowing straight into my bedroom through the fans. I turn the fans off, but never quite soon enough. Just that stinks up my place for hours.
