Man of the Hour for Thomas in Krakow (a request)

My first and hopefully last time doing one of these..

My dear friend Thomas suddenly passed away a month ago at the age of 36 :(

Thomas and I were friends for 20 years and had a lot of mutual passions.. Pearl Jam being the biggest one!

We went to several PJ shows together. Our most memorable trip was in '14, when Thomas, my little brother and myself drove 17 hours straight to catch the epic gig in Vienna.. after the show we got in the car and drove 8 hours straight to Berlin to catch next nights show..! It was such a fucking blast!

He was the most kind hearted and selfless person I ever knew.. And his work reflected that personality as well.. He worked at a nursing home and I know how much satisfaction he got from helping others..!

At his funeral I got to play Man of the Hour for him in church.. It was a perfect goodbye (for now)! After the funeral the priest asked what song it was, because she thought it was absolutely beautiful.. That made me smile for the first time since he passed!

My brother and I will be roadtripping again this summer as we have tickets for both Prague and Krakow.. In spirit Thomas will be with us. I would love for Man of the Hour to be played for Thomas one last time, and so I ask if it could be played at the show in Krakow in july! 

Any bumps appreciated!

    Damn so sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Hope you get your song in Krakow and it is able to help you with your grieving.

    I lost one of my best friends a couple of weeks ago at the age of 40 and I know how much it hurts. I hope you get it. I will be in Krakow and will sing it for all good friends we've lost.

    At this point I'm sure those who wanted to read this post have done so.. And when it's suddenly back at the top, they'll assume that it's just been bumped and carry on with their day.. And this is a bump indeed. But it's also me getting stuff off my chest.. 

    Right now, as I type this, I'm sitting by Thomas' headstone.. Thinking of him. I've been here quite a few times already.. I come here, sit, play a couple of songs on my phone for him, say goodbye, leave.. It feels good to do this!

    Time heals and even though I still think of him for hours every single day, I feel like I'm moving on.. Slowly.. Yesterday a couple of friends and I went out for a few beers.. It was fun.. A good night.. As I got home though, I was overcome by emotion and ended up crying myself to sleep.. I miss him so fucking bad.. He should still be here.. 

    Sorry for the ramble.. It was as much for me as it was for anyone else..

    Gutted you are going through this and lost a dear friend. Are you traveling with anyone in Europe and where are you staying in Krakow? It would be nice to meet up before the show with a bunch of us on the forum that are going and have a couple of beers. Maybe the preparty on the 2nd?
