I guess people really take note of that skit because it works kind of like a retroactive parody. Hindsight is 20/20, and when you watch that skit now it kind of reflects the ridiculousness of the relationship between those two in the positions they are in right now. I get how it draws attention the way it does... I don't think it draws attention completely outside of the comedic though. It's basically a weird and very noticeable example of life imitating art, you know? I don't think anyone uses this skit as a way of saying, "See? If they did this, they are scum!" It's more like, "They are crazy, and omg, look at this sketch they did way back when - it's almost like a prelude to the present!" There truly is comedy going on there, as well as a weird kind of irony, and I can't blame people for acknowledging that. Again, I haven't noticed anyone being upset about it.... Creeped out, yes... but that sketch was hilariously creepy back then, lol, not only now when people can apply further context to it.

I guess people really take note of that skit because it works kind of like a retroactive parody. Hindsight is 20/20, and when you watch that skit now it kind of reflects the ridiculousness of the relationship between those two in the positions they are in right now. I get how it draws attention the way it does... I don't think it draws attention completely outside of the comedic though. It's basically a weird and very noticeable example of life imitating art, you know? I don't think anyone uses this skit as a way of saying, "See? If they did this, they are scum!" It's more like, "They are crazy, and omg, look at this sketch they did way back when - it's almost like a prelude to the present!" There truly is comedy going on there, as well as a weird kind of irony, and I can't blame people for acknowledging that. Again, I haven't noticed anyone being upset about it.... Creeped out, yes... but that sketch was hilariously creepy back then, lol, not only now when people can apply further context to it.
