    I think you're 100% right... but also there is the fact that facebook made some changes that filters out fake news... they are probably noticing a major decline in right-wing content because of that as well, lol.

    I think they are upset that Facebook has been deleting their fake news stories that they have been propagating. The same fake news they have been fed by Russian troll farms.

    I have one who when I point out it’s fake, his response is something like ‘oh well I like it anyway’. He’s odd because he supports trump and what he says and does, but then also back pedals and says he doesn’t care what happens to him re: impeachment because he’s getting what he wants. He buys into the whole ha ha look at the upset liberals stuff.

    Three parents whose children were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 filed a defamation lawsuit on Tuesday against Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist who has long claimed the shooting was “completely fake” and a “giant hoax” perpetrated by opponents of the Second Amendment.

    Mr. Jones, the popular radio show host who also operates the conspiracy theory website Infowars, has questioned for years whether 20 children and six adults died in the school massacre in Newtown, Conn. To bolster his false claims, he often cites news reports and video clips from the hours after the shooting that turned out to be incomplete or based on wrong information.

    Soon after they buried their children, many Sandy Hook parents started to come under fierce attack by conspiracy theorists who have said they are actors in an elaborate scheme to enact stricter gun control laws. The fringe theories still thrive in small forums online but have reached a far greater audience through Mr. Jones, the most vocal propagator.

    Honestly, I thought she was out of bounds for the event.  She had a few very funny lines but a couple crossed the line in my opinion...for the event.  In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal.  But I think it was bad press for the press.  Trump has been trying to undermine them everyday...and they gave him fuel for his fire.  This will embolden his base and even some middle of the round people will support trump on this issue.  Again, trump has gotten his "enemy" to stoop to his level....and he has proven to win those battles.  Unbelievable that we can't have any adults in the room.

    That event isn’t supposed to have any adults in the room and that’s the point.

    It's another example of why the Right cannot be taken seriously. Alex Jones and Donald Trump are A-OK. Some random comedian though? Public Enemy #1.

    She was a little crude at times* but she also showed the press a mirror and they didn't like what they saw...or, I should say, they did not like that she made them look. The line about how they pretend to hate Trump but they actually love him was spot on.  For the most part, this was honest and we're not really down with honesty any more.

    I didn't need the shots at McConnell's and Christie's appearance (I want to be above that) but this focus on the eye-shadow line being an insult about Sanders's looks is silly.  She called her out for being a liar, something the "real media" won't do.  Her biggest mistake was not recognizing that many people would be to lazy to actually understand what she was doing.

    *Only the current president is supposed to speak that way.  We elected this guy in large part because we were "sick of political correctness" and he's thin-skinned as hell and the "Fuck Your Feelings" crowd is offended now.  The hypocrisy.
