Could've bought half the store, but went with just what I REALLY wanted:
Jeff Buckley - Live at Sin-e
    Arcade Fire - EP

and picked up Bowie "Welcome to the Blackout" for a buddy. I'll head back to my local shop and see if there's anything left next week. If I luck out, great. If I don't, most everything else I wanted was a RSD First release, so I'll get it sometime when standard versions are released.

Struck out at 5 stores on The National / Boxer Live In Brussels.
Cool, this was the only album I wanted and I got it. Now, I have all three albums on vinyl (Blind, Static and Silence, Reading), which were all acquired via the last three consecutive Record Store Days.

Soungarden and Neil Young for 42 dollars each was too much for me.
Soundgarden was $35 by me, sounds like some price gouging.
It was 350 SEK, so being 35 dollars 350 SEK sounds normal. Atleast with electronics You can usuluallY multiplY the dollar
    -price bY 10.

But too expensive to me. Well well.

Such a GREAT album & happy to say I've got all 3 on vinyl now as well...
listened to all of them in order yesterday!!
I would love to see them get back together and put out a new record or even a reunion tour...
Only got to see them once at The Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia back in February of 1993.

For anyone still looking for stuff, check all of these.  I was able to find everything this morning and never even stood in line.

I'm like an opening band for your mom.

I grabbed Wilco and Led Zep, and a friend was able to get me Jason Isbell at another store.
The National and Arcade Fire are the only ones I wanted that I couldn't get this year.

Two local shops had great turnouts. I picked up Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Steve Earle, Jason Isbell and Soul Asylum.

I saw several copies of The National - may try to get this tomorrow. Didn’t see Arcade Fire or Tim Armstrong.

The Steve Earle album is great - he’s got the Mastersons in his band now which really takes the live stuff up a notch.

Isbell is solid as always. His RSD stuff is always a must have.

If anyone has an extra copy of The National they'd be willing to part with, I'd definitely be interested.  Wasn't able to make it out yesterday.

Wasn't going to go. Decided to get the RATM so I showed up an hour before opening. I'm usually there between 5-6am. I was 30th in line, got RATM and CRB Raven's Reel. It was the only one they had. Didn't even know about the Centerfield picture disc, got that on ebay for $24.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Got everything I wanted except Piper at the Gates of Dawn.  Anyone know how difficult this one was to get?

There were supposedly tons of Piper and it’s getting a standard release, but that packaging looks super cool.

Cool, I care more about the mono sound than the packaging.  I've seen lots of the standard stereo re-release around so that version is easy to get.

    What is that Eric Clapton?

  • I knew of the soundtrack being released but I never knew about that compilation.

Darn it. RSD was better than advertised.
